Look past the stairs and know you are about to enjoy a wonderful meal. The food is kosher and halal, beautifully prepared by a friendly and welcoming staff. The owner is a wonderful person. Not a fancy place but nice and the the food is authentic, delicious and plentiful.
Interior is much brighter and less cluttered than under previous management. Menu is slightly smaller, but everything tasted fine. Food was properly cooked.
The place was not to bad. Food was pretty good but they forgot my order when there was no one. I came from NY to visit 1 of the only kosher place overpriced but the food is good but it's to little for that huge price I don't really recommend but it's the only grill here so oof.
Very good kosher restaurant I'm San Francisco. The staff was very helpful and friendly
In San Francisco for the week from New York. Been eating all over SF but decided to try Sabra today. Great choice. Super friendly owner, great service but the food was actually incredible. Some of the best falafel I’ve ever had and the chicken shawarma plate was amazing. Felt very homestyle and will be back when I’m in San Francisco again.
We live nearby and were curious to finally try this place.TLDR: the prices are absurd and the food is mediocre. I wanted it to be great but did not deliver. We almost got up and left due to the prices but decided to share the grilled eggplant/falafel/salad appetizer. This was $18.Things that were good:- grilled eggplant- the quirky well-meaning staff- pita breadThings that were mediocre:- hummus- falafel (some were mostly just fried crust, others mushy in the middle)Things that were bad:- baba ganoush- prices ($25 for one skewer, $32 for two!!!!! Even for SF prices, this is totally bonkers)
Good Glatt Kosher. No frills. decent and clean.
The service is regularly speedy, lovely mood, super nice employees. Will return again when I get nearby.
Good food. Nice portion size. Quick & friendly service. Solid dining experience all around.
Ordered lamb skewers and I basically got two skewers of lamb fat. My daughter ordered shawerma plate and she got some chicken pieces sautéed with onions in a pan. The Turkish coffee tasted like instant coffee. Worst food I ever had for this ridiculous price. Totally lost my appetite
