We walked in, the front person asked if we have any allergy, and how hungry we are, and began to serve food that way without us needing to look through the menu. The dishes are exquisite, and it feels very warm and welcome, as if we were visiting a friend's kitchen rather than going to a restaurant. Looking forward to revisit when I am back in SF.

Eskender and his team bring a full menu of flavors from his native Ethiopia to 3rd St. in Bayview. During COVID, you can get his outstanding dishes on Tuesdays only from 12-3pm. Order online and pick-up by 3. The “family pack” pictured features 5 entrees, soup, salad as well as a bonus dessert and sauce for $50 (no substitutions). The food travels and reheats well so it literally can feed you for a week.

Right now (June 9, 2020), they are open for pre-order and pick-up on Tuesday between 11-3. They have a family special for $50 that is amazing! Deliciousa- entrees that include chicken, shrimp, beef, lamb and green lentils. It also comes with a generous salad and soup. Ingredients are fresh, excellent spicing, and good variety. It's not too close to home for me but it was well worth the drive to pick it up. Food was ready right on time and everything holds up well to delivery. I'll be back again.
