PJ’s is a hit, and Pam was just fantastic. What a wonderful way to start our day and vacation. Excellent place for adventurous palettes, unafraid of well balanced thoughtful plates. The place is the second of three, and only 5 years old. After fishing for parking, walk to a great place for relaxation, and lapel enjoyment.
Really enjoyed the brunch at Plain Jane. There was a quite a line outside when we arrived around 12:30 on a Sunday afternoon but it moved quickly and we were seated in under 15mins. The menu has a lot of variety with items having quite an interesting combination of ingredients.I tried the oyster mushroom scramble that had a lot veggies like cauliflowers and zucchini and also sunflower seeds. I do wanna be back to try their pancake slider which looked very appropriate as well. Would also recommend trying out the pistachio latté
I love Jane on Polk. Plain Jain is a breakfast place, open until 3pm. Everything is delicious. I've tried the duck, it was not my favorite but the oyster mushroom omelet was delicious. I wish they had smaller size French toast and pancakes.
Food: 3/5Service: 4/5Ambiance: 4/5Overall: I would actually come back here to try some of the other things on the menu to see if it could change my thoughts on this place. The extended review...Food:Smoked Duck Breast - 3/5 - This was slightly disappointing to me. I had a different thought on what this would be where the meat was more confit (my bad for not paying attention) and that it would be mixed with the hash. Not bad but definitely had higher expectations.PJ's Sweet Flight - 3/5 - It's a good way to try all the sweet things. I'd say that I was expecting a bit more from this. It wasn't horrible but it sort of needed just a little bit more.Service: 4/5 - Friendly and attentive staffAmbiance: 4/5 - A very cute place.
Fantastic breakfast spot over in the Mission District. I only wish I wasn't there solo so I could have tried more of the menu! As it was, the chipotle hot fried chicken and red velvet waffle was exactly what the doctor ordered.
A very unique restaurant. Went for brunch and had the pleasure of some of the best I've had in a while. The combination of some of the items might seem odd at first but they work so well. I had the chicken and waffles and they were fantastic. The drinks here are also excellent. I absolutely loved their mocha coffee and their cappuccino was also delicious.
Easily the best breakfast I've had in San Francisco. The Red Velvet Latte is one of a kind. We tried the Pancake/French Toast Flight. It was delicious with 3 completely different flavors to try from. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.
We ordered the Norwegian Benedict and Oyster Mushroom Scramble. Both were excellent and they did not skimp on the sides. Potatoes were perfectly crispy and the toast of much higher quality than I’m used to at brunch spots. Will be back next time we are in SF.
Tasty brunch spot! A bit pricey, but good quality. Best thing I tried was their home fries. Hands down the crispiest home fries I’ve ever had! Also they had mini tapatio packets! What a treat. Coffee was great too!
Comforting classics, but each with a California twist! We had the crab shrimp eggs Benedict, mushroom sunflower omelette, and a cinnamon bun latte. The cinnamon latte was out of this world — I tasted like I was literally eating a cinnamon bun straight up.Service was fast and friendly on a Monday morning. Tried to go on a weekend and it was too crowded.
