Absolutely loved our lunch here. The bartender was kind, attentive and very knowledgeable. My Joe Cool Pizza was hands down the best pizza I've had in San Francisco and I get paid to eat out on the regular. My husband had the Bolognese and he said it was the best he's had.The beer selection was superb as well.Definitely give these people a try.

I have been coming here since the first couple weeks they were open a few years ago. The pizza’s always delicious. The staff typically were great. But service this night was pretty poor.Gabe met us once we approached the counter. He seemed annoyed we had a reservation and didn’t know where to seat us. There was an empty 4-seat, but this was reserved for a party of 3. (They never did show up.) He offered and we agreed on a chilly, cramped two-top—literally against a stack of pre-folded pizza boxes and abuttting the open door. It was windy and chilly. He shut the door on my request, but the oblivious delivery drivers coming in and out kept leaving it open. After 3 times I got up and told him we had to move. He offered 2 seats at the end of he bar nearest the kitchen, apparently where the takeout is put—our presence there surprised at least one other staff bringing out a stack of pizzas. My friend was told to keep the access path clear. Again, Gabe had put us there. The 4-seat table was still empty. After all this, Gabe never asked how we were doing. He did however spend plenty of his attention watching a basketball game. The woman who served our pizza and water was nice. Oddly they were out of white wine. All of them. Really?I will give them another chance since the original staff, owners I think, were lovely. But some remedial service training is clearly in order.

I ordered a pizza through Seamless. It stated it was delivered to my hotel. I went to check the front desk and nothing was dropped off. Either the driver lied and said he delivered it or gave it to someone else without confirming. Fine, not the restaurant's fault. I called the restaurant and spoke to Alex (if that's even her name), explained the situation, and she contacted the driver. Was told by Alex that the driver delivered it. I told her he didn't and that I needed a refund. She said "Oh ok" and hung up. I called her back and she said I needed to contact seamless. Who just hangs up on someone without explaining that? Terrible service. Their pizza is fine but I could literally walk into any place in New York City and find one that is way tastier by tenfold. Yeah, I get you're probably short staffed but who just hangs up on someone? Extremely rude.

I just had the most horrific experience ever as a doordash driver at that restaurant. Not only was I verbally; but I was also physically assaulted by two female waitresses there. When I first came into the restaurant to pick up my customers orders; I was yelled at, and insulted by one of the waitresses to go outside. She pointed at the front door-didn’t even look me in the eyes-and screamed at me to go outside. As I was trying to explain to her she can’t treat me like that; because I’m also just trying to do my job, another waitresses from behind actually grabbed my arm, and tried to force me outside. I felt completely disrespected, and insulted by this behavior. I also felt targeted since there was other doordash and Uber eats drivers that wasn’t treated like that. They were actually allowed to wait inside for their orders. After all that they made it a point to punish me; and make me wait 40 minutes for my customers orders outside, while other food delivery drivers that came after me waited no longer then 15-20 minutes for their orders. I’ve never experienced anything like that from any other restaurant. I’d advise the owner to make sure that never happens again because that could of easily been a lawsuit when the waitresses grabbed my arm to pull me outside. I’m a San Francisco native that works several jobs just to be able to support my family; and also still live here in the Mission District were I grew up, and lived for 42 years now. Love and respect is what I grew up on here in San Francisco, but tonight I experienced the complete opposite there at The Pink Onion????

We came here on the recommendation of a friend. She was right. It was a cute little place with amazing food. I ordered the pistachio pasta which was the most amazing pasta ever. and then my friend had the meat balls, which were also so so good.

Omg Pink Onion y'all know what you're doing. This pesto is perfectly balanced and cheesy, this pasty perfectly chewy, this magic mushroom pie so aromatic and out of this world. I'm still eating and just had to stop and let y'all know I'm grateful for your skills. Thank you.

Best pizza place in the city. Randomly found this place but so happy I did. The magic mushroom pizza is amazing!

Really enjoyed our meal and the service. Got the “combo” which lets you try a mix of everything. Note it’s is larger portions than you expect when they say “small” pizza/pasta. Which is a good thing, just go hungry. We did the barrata salad, pizza 22, the pistachio pesto pasta and the Reese’s cannolis. The service was also excellent. We were recommended a good wine and when we found out there were chili flakes in the sauce of the pizza we ordered (I can’t do spice/chili), they were extremely nice and made us a new one without, since it didn’t note it on the menu.

It's rare to find a restaurant in SF that has great food at a very reasonable price and this place hits all the marks. We got the combo meal, which includes an appetizer or salad, pasta, a small pizza, and dessert for about $55. We initially were going to get 2 combo meals (we're 2 grown men who love to eat) but 1 combo ended up being more than enough, with a leftover pizza and dessert for lunch to the following day. For the price, this was an incredible deal, not even considering it's SF. Food and service were excellent. Very pleased with the experience!
