love this place! My favorite spot to hang after work (or before work... or during work...). The food is solid, they pour a great Guinness, and the staff is top notch. Jules is the best, always takes fantastic care of everyone at the bar and is a blast to chat with. The best part of coming back to the office is knowing that I'll be able to stop in more often :) See you soon!
Nice place close to Embarcadero, they have both outdoor and indoor setup.Their hexagon shaped table made it difficult to stack for our large group of 20.Overall like this place.
last time I went the server was drunk forgot our orders and harrassed one my Friends.
This pub has a fantastic atmosphere, great food, decent portions, and very fair pricing for the area. While visiting San Francisco for 3 days, I got dinner here twice. The staff is very friendly, the historic feel is impressive, and the ambiance is unparalleled. Whether you want to grab a few drinks and meet some friendly folks or you have a large dinner party, this place will keep you coming back for more.
This pub is great for its food and drinks as well. I have a good and satisfying lunch every time I eat there. Drinks for happy hour with co-workers is also a treat. They make well balanced Cosmos, my fav. I'm hoping they will bring back the chili for the winter because that too was so good.
I had recommended this place to many people for years when it was the Holding Company. I saw that it had remodeled being that I'm a huge fan of the TV show Bar Rescue. On afternoon me and my fiancé were in the city decided to check it out. Upon entering the staff seemed warm and welcoming, we were ushered to our seats handed menu. A larger group had been seated after us, our server went to give them menu whilst me and my fiancé were still deciding. My fiancé and I closed our menu and waited for our server to return. After about 15 minutes our server returns to take our order for both food and drinks. I finished my drink and was still waiting for my food, so I tired to get the server attention to get another drink whilst still waiting for my food. My server seemed preoccupied with the larger group, I guess fishing for a bigger tip from that table. Our food finally arrives. The food was good and drinks were balanced and well made. I wanted to order another drink however our server paid us no attention. My fiancé and I received the check and paid for our meal. Upon exiting our server asked why we hadn't left her a tip. My fiancé pointed at the flaws in her service, at which point the server stated "if you guys can't afford it" and got into a embarrassing shouting match with my fiancé. I asked to speak with a manager and was told they were out of the office. I was given both the phone number and email address for the manager. I tired to reach out for several weeks after my experience and received nothing about my experience. I will never advise anyone every to come here solely based on the service. People spend money where it's respected. This company doesn't respect their patrons money. Being that this bar is located in the Embarcadero center I would expect for staff to treat all of it's customers well. The Hyatt is less that 2 blocks away as well as BART. They never know who any customer could be as all 4 of the Embarcadero centers have offices throughout. Pleasant looking place however may leave it's customers with a unpleasant dining experience.
Service was good once they noticed me. The tatchos we're good, the mahi mahi tacos were OK but did not have much flavor.
I ordered chicken wings for take-out. The meal was fresh and tasty.Friendly staff. They will validate your parking at 1 Embarcadero Ctr if you order over $10.
Great burgers, much better than a vaunted restaurant nearby. Agreeably uncrowned with a pleasant outdoor space
Surprisingly good. Well worth a visit despite it's rather hidden location.
