Palmyra has the best Mediterranean food for the price I’ve had, by far the best in San Francisco. Their lamb kebab platter is SO delicious; fresh and flavorful with an addicting cucumber and tomato salad, homemade hummus, lemon garnish... If I could eat one meal for the rest of my life it would be some variation of this platter, you simply must have it. The owner and staff are extremely kind hearted as well.
The lamb shawarma was delicious if you dont mind chunks of lamb and pickles. Fyi, need to eat immediately before it gets soggy with so much juice dripping. No wait to order. Plenty of seats to wait. Good ventilation since i don't stink absorbing the grill smell.
Delicious Syrian food! This is my go to for a pretty healthy, tasty meal. Great to bring for an afternoon in the park, or get the roast chicken for several days of food. Really good gluten free options - they'll replace your pita for rice for free.
Ordered on Doordash at 7pm. The food came swiftly. But I'm not sure why the chicken was so dry and tough. It tasted like it was left out all day. That was the most memorable part of the meal that the meat was dry and tough. Will not order takeout from here again but maybe dine-in would be better.
Great food and amazing owners! This place is run by local family, very hospitable and generous. We had the Hummus Fatta, fava beans and Falafel, everything tasted so good, and you can taste the special Syrian flavors in them. Thank you Palmyra family!
I have lived in the Lower Haight for more than a decade and Palmyra is part of what makes this neighborhood awesome. They are a family-owned restaurant that makes everything in-house, and I've never had a bad item from their menu. Their hummus is SO good and they are fast with delivery too. Highly recommend.
Absolutely so goooooodddd the owners were very nice and welcoming the whole chicken meal was the best very tasty definitely would be coming back all in total was about 42$ the whole chicken was 22.00$ love this place
Got the chicken shawarma platter and beef shawarma wrap. Meat was tender and everything was flavorful! Wish there was more pita with the shawarma platter, but I’ll definitely order again.
We loved this spot. Delicious food, much of the menu is homemade, and you can tell by the quality! For example, hand-cut fries, homemade yogurt, and tasty pita that is not dry. And the service is excellent - they were friendly and helpful. This will be top of our list for quick/easy yet high quality food.
I love this place and the people that work there. They’re always so welcoming and sweet you automatically feel at home. The flavors and food is exceptional. One of my favorite places in SF!
