Palio never disappoints! The service is cordial and kind, the food is excellent and the room is open and quiet. My "go to" place.

Great pizza, very flavorful! Super nice service, quick to accommodate an earlier time than reserved. Friendly staff and the restaurant has tables spaced out, so you don't feel like you are crowded. This is a great go to for lunch conversations as it's not loud and you can have a peaceful relaxing lunch. Highly recommend!

Quiet location, excellent food and outstanding service.

Great place for dinner with your co-workers!

Always very pleasant at Palio

It was wonderful! Great food and the service was outstanding!!

My favorite Italian restaurant in the San Francisco Financial District. Excellent home made pasta and sauces. Food prices are within reason. Cocktails are well made and again prices are within reason. Host and owner Martino is well versed in extensive wine list. Private dining rooms available for larger parties. A very enjoyable experience on every level.

Salmon was cooked perfectly and we had prompt, polite and gregarious service. Will become a regular spot in my lunchtime rotation!

Consistently wonderful - love to get a booth for 2-3 people. Service is impeccable. Food never disappoints and in a very convenient location downtown. Also very pretty!

We made a reservation at Palio for dinner on a Friday based on the positive reviews. The restaurant must be focused on a lunch crowd because I think they close at 8 p.m. When we arrived, my wife and I were the only customers in the restaurant (other than a private party in a separate room) which seemed like a bad sign. We shared the burrata appetizer but the dish was overwhelmed by the fennel/olive salad that was served with the burrata. My wife had an average pizza which came with what appeared to be a pre-made crust . My main dish, paparadelle with tomatoes and asparagus, was fine but nothing special. Service was warm and friendly and the restaurant itself is well decorated. Another odd thing - the music in the restaurant was an odd mix of terrible 70s songs. This place has potential but the food needs an upgrade if they want to compete with some of the other restaurants in the area.
