The asparagus toast was delicious (this one has replaced avocado toast due to the high cost of avocados). French toast was also really good. The breakfast sandwich was the only item with room for improvement.
Really nice restaurant and decor. I ordered the Spiked apple cider drink it was absolutely delicious. Maaaybee the choice to put salt on the grilled cheese was not a good one, but I did enjoy the fresh bread and the light butter flavor of the cheese. The bacon was absolutely delicious!
Quite a lovely spot to enjoy a light brunch on a rare but nice sunny morning! Service was quick and the food was great. For San Francisco, their prices were super reasonable.
Everything we had was fantastic, but as an upstate NYer, I was blown away by the smashed potatoes. It’s like salt potatoes are boiled, smashed, baked and fried. They are hands down the best breakfast potatoes I have ever had.
The staff was so friendly and have great food recommendations. The food came out so quickly and was INCREDIBLE! Highly recommend the lemon ginger apple cider. I got the smashed potatoes and my friend got the Dutch pancake. Both were so satisfying. Far exceeded our expectations. Parking was limited and it wasn't very busy so plan for that. So worth the walk though!
I think the reviews are a bit exaggerated. This place is nice, the staff friendly, the outdoor area is well designed, but the food is really quite simple. The Tuscan soup seemed watered down (it should be thick to be called “Tuscan” and this is not). The cheese sandwich is good but, I mean, it’s a grilled sandwich. The trout sandwich is overpriced for what it is. I recommend the potatoes. Those are nice.

I really enjoyed your Dutch pancake & the cappuccino. The atmosphere has always been & continues to be warm & friendly, indoors & outdoors. We had an indoor reservation this time. This is just one chef's opinion, but hats off to Pat and her staff. In a world where service is dwindling and food is no more than means to a financial end, Pat has kept it as it used to be. The staff care. They have fun. They treated us with amazing smiles and joy. Pat works the room. She is everywhere insuring your meal is spot on. I will be coming here every chance I get when I'm in the City.
Not super sure why we were eating outside off paper plates but I guess they have their reason. My order was wrong too but in the spirit of grace I went on with it and choose not to waste more time asking for a correction.
