The host was warm and welcoming. We asked if we could have a drink at the bar, but were asked to have a cocktail as the schedule was tight. The food and service was outstanding. My husband an I split a salad and it came to the table already plated...everyone on the staff has as attentive but not irritating. Will go back soon!

Great food and a wonderfully quiet atmosphere.

Been going to OSSO for a few years. The bone-in filet, creamed spinach, California reds, service, decor, music, and vibe are stellar.

First time eating at Osso and we will definitely be back. Our server, Tom, was knowledge, helpful, and a pleasure to chat with. Every person we interacted with from host, server, busser etc. was pleasant. We ordered the cheesy bread appetizer, we were warned it was filling, and that’s the truth. You receive half a fresh loaf of bread on a skillet with delicious melted cheese, almost like a queso sauce. It was really good. For our entrees we ordered the 32oz ribeye steak, and 2 lobster tails. Both were well cooked and delicious. For sides we ordered au gratin potatoes which came served in a small skillet pot. The top had a delicious cheesy crunch, similar to a Mac an cheese. And I’d venture to say the brussel sprouts are the best I’ve ever had. They also have a pretty extensive wine list, lots of options to choose from, which I love! The atmosphere is pleasant, muted lights, but not so dark you can barely see the person across the table. I would say the prices are reasonable for the food and restaurant experience. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 entrees (steak and lobster), 2 sides, and a bottle of wine. Our total was about $350.

Daniel our waiter was amazing!!

($250 for two) We had about 3 minutes with our appetizer before they brought our steaks. It seemed there was a large party, as a large cart of steaks were wheeled past us. I understand that larger parties bring in more profit but the chefs were definitely trying to get us out of the way. I’ve worked in fine dining and this proves there was either a lack of communication or just a lack of care for a party of 2. You don’t cook or bring the main course when we’ve only had a couple bites of an appetizer. Ordered the filet with bone in, which I would not recommend over the basic filet. Asked for medium rare and got very rare. My grandfather ordered the regular filet, medium rare, which was cooked almost perfectly. The mac and cheese was expensive but tasty, the mashed potatoes were much less impressive. The waiter was nice and friendly. Noise level was below average for San Fran. Definitely better places to dine. But a decent option if you’re staying at the Fairmont, Huntington, Hopkins etc. Would only come back due to the nice service and if I was too lazy to go anywhere else.

first out I'll start with appetizers we had shrimp cocktail shrimp were big and juicy and the cocktail sauce is outstanding! next was the skillet bread this is the main reason we go there LOL ,so freakn good! I had the porterhouse which was good but in recent visits I've had the cowboy ribeye and it is by far much better to me and cheaper. for dessert we shared the lemon tart , and it was extremely delicious .we drive an hour and a half to two hours to dine here.this is the fourth time we've been there and yes we will travel that far just to eat there! our server was Jake and he was awesome I recommend you ask for him. I highly recommend Osso steakhouse , oh yeah I forgot the greeter we always enjoy talking with her but I forgot her name she's super friendly and always has our table ready for us

The steak and lobster I. The mash was over cooked, the sea bass was very thin similar to a thin and cheap tilapia. The food was warm to cold when served.

excellent food. Most beautiful beet salad I have ever seen!!! The sides were delicious as was the main course(lobster tail)definitely mouth watering! Cannot wait to go back.

Osso is always outstanding. The atmosphere, the food, the service, it’s all amazing. The hostess, Paola, is always friendly and charming. The boneless petite filet is my favorite, despite the name “Osso” meaning “bone” in Italian. The sauce is simply to die for. I frequently hop the California street car and ride up to Osso, across the street from Grace Cathedral, after a long week of work in the FiDi.
