Just as everybody says, the staff there were super friendly and welcoming. We came here right after a drink at the next door Twin Peaks Tavern. Luckily we got a booth as it’s usually quite busy. I had their 4 pieces Fried Chicken and I really enjoyed it even though I wasn’t even that hungry. We definitely plan to come back here again next time in San Francisco.

Orphan Andy's is an old-fashioned diner with good coffee, very good and filling food (especially the hotcakes), and a nice staff who accommodated my disabled companion very well. Although we went for breakfast, every kind of meal is served. Well-located for our purposes, we saw no reason to look for any other breakfast place. A bit pricey, but this IS San Francisco. Great decor, too.

An amazing experience here! Fast service, they were friendly and the portion was huge!! It does feel like a deli experience

Good food, nice people, Dishonest business practices. They increase their prices 20% with no warning when its late and everywhere else is closed.I could tell if they were just trying to take advantage of me because I was drunk or if the do this to everyone, but I had already waited in line for 30 min.Business that want to force a gratuity are legally required to state that on the menu or somewhere visible. They just increased the price with no warning. Honestly, I really like this place, but taking advantage of drunk people warrants a 1 star.

I love the atmosphere but I think food is not the perfect, I mean breakfast is OK and I think French toast eş under my expectations

I love diners and this one is no exception. I also have a friend named Andy who is an orphan so I felt compelled to stop by. This place had a very friendly and old-school vibe. They have a classic menu!

Good diner food, friendly service, and just a fun environment. It feels like the number of diners in San Francisco is dwindling, they’re far and few, but having one this electric on the doorstep of the Castro is kind of perfect. If you’re visiting or passing through, go one, give it a go.Pictured is their cheeseburger - yum! It had a patty with about half inch thickness (don’t hold me to that) and perfectly melted cheese. It comes open with your choice of side (fries for me!).

Love love love love love this place.Decor was booming when we went in on NYE which really made the place feel special. The layout is very much a typical traditional American diner which I appreciated a lot as it was my first time visiting from the UK.Staff were polite and extra attentive. We had breakfast here twice.First time having the eggs, sausages and hotcakes. Second time having the Mexican tortilla thing. Both tasted great, only complaint would be that the menu was missing a proper full English breakfast (would be good for UK visitors). Eggs, beans, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns etc. This would have really made the whole experience something spectacular for me.

Any time they’re open, come in. Or sit outside. A Castro institution, been here longer than most of us. Breakfast is incredible, so delicious. Lunch and dinner menus are offering something for everyone. The service is funny, helpful and great.Enjoy!Did I mention The Big 2?Enjoy really.

Nice diner, open 24 hours. The staff was very friendly. The food we had was ok. I’d go there again.
