The most unique menu in all of jtown! I don't know why i always ignored this hidden gem. The European dishes with a little Japanese twist are some of the best ones. I had gratin the first time i went and was blown away by the rice and tofu inside. I had okonomiyaki pizza the second time. People are very nice and prompt with your order. The drink selection is also amazing. I'll be back to try more
Great selection of beers and sake, and nostalgic chu-his. Tried the Onibi Matcha Stout and the green tea Choya which tastes like Arizona Green Tea’s twin separated at birth and raised by a wealthy adoptive family; this is a compliment. Takoyaki is delicious though small.
Super authentic & delicious with friendly staff and chef. Everything is delicious. The egg on tge omurice is slightly burnt this 4 instead of 5 stars. Otherwise, really really good. There's tons of Japanese manga you can read while waiting.
Came in at 1PM on a Mon. One person appears to running the front of the house. Looking g at Vaccine status and taking orders by herself - seems like a tough gig.We ordered a salad, and the presentation was awesome. The potato croquettes were nicely seasoned. We watched people leave not getting anything ordered.I’m be been coming here for years, but this is the first time since the beginning of the pandemic that I came here. The chef came out with our meals - I was impressed.I gave this place four stars ‘cause if you expect quick service, don’t expect it (at least now in the middle of the pandemic). But in what I’d call classic Japanese style, the presentation and quality is what I’d expect. Granted, my exposure may not be as extensive as others - but again - I’m quite please with my meal. And my wife was very happy with her order.
Had a okonomiyaki pizza + hamburger steak sizzler plate. Realy liked the pizza since the flavors and textures of okonomiyaki complimented the pizza base and cheese.
A childhood favorite! They have kid size meals that my girls love, western-style Japanese dishes, and my favorite LocoMoco with mushroom sauce instead of the gravy! The chef is still the original guy and it’s really a mom and pop place for sure! Support this local business!
This restaurant is literally on the bridge. We came here on Friday and it was closed. Even though the sign says open 7 days a week. We happened to come back Saturday and they were opened! It’s a tiny space with an elderly man working. So you would have to be patient if you dine here. Everywhere in the plaza was at least an hour wait so we came here and was next to be seated. Took about 30mins.You have to show that you are vaccinated. Honestly, the places that I came across this weekend, they just glance and don’t even check ID.We already knew what we wanted and judging by how busy and how understaff this place was, we had to grab the elderly man as soon as we got his attention to place an order.I got pork katsu curry with rice with mild spice level which is like 1x. The higher you go, the more you pay. It had an egg on top. This place is not really authentic Japanese food, it’s a fusion with European. They have spaghetti with curry and a lot of pasta inspired dishes. My bf who’s picky with Japanese curry actually had no complaints. We asked to split our tab into 3 credit cards but he said 2 max that they are struggling to survive. I get it. So we just did 1 card and Venmo each other. I thought the portion wasn’t that big for being $22 with tax plus tip.
Food was fantastic. Service was beyond wonderful. The loco moco with demi-glaze was the best I have had. 10/10, would recommend.
Oops ate it too fast, great Japanese style curry, good vegetarian options. Recommend looking at the menu ahead of time so many good options.
Small restaurant with a very comfy atmosphere. Service is fast and the curry rice is pretty good. They have a wide variety of drinks as well.
