I eat here more than any other Mexican food place in the City. Have yet to meet something on the menu I haven't enjoyed. Truly outstanding food. And I am picky about Mexican food. Hole-in-the-wall, homestyle, like I grew up with. None of the commercial, hot tray, cafeteria style Mexican food you get in the Mission.
The pupussas are the bomb here.

I been living in the tenderloin for almost a year and it was my first trying the pupusas here. I got 2 cheese, 2 revueltas and cheese with beans.they were so good! Beware the salsa is super spicy in a good way?

i have bin going to Olivos since they opened, before that it was a Chinese restaurant, i loved to go there for lunch, there chicken and vegetable on noodles and rice was really good so i was disappointed when they closed, but i love Mexican food better so i had to try it out, i did not expect much because a lot of Mexican food around the bay area is cheep garbage, there are only a few that really stand out, well i have to say that Olivos is one of them, i was not at all disappointed from day one, one bite of the carnitas wet burrito and i was hooked, im an Olivos addict, i had already wolfed down the chips and salsa before my burrito got there and went back for more, every thing i have tried there is really good, its one of the best i have found and i have tried Mexican food all over, and i dont just meen here in the bay area, i mean all over, every where i go i try the Mexican food, its in my top 10 favorite, another thing that is great about it for me is its only 2 blocks away from my apartment, there are several Mexican restaurants close by to me but none of them are as good as Olivos, and the people that own the place are great, they have bin kind and respectful to me since the first time i walked in the door, they make me feel at home there, so if you like good Mexican food at a fare price try Olivos, i highly recommend them, i hope you will find them as good as i do,
