Was there for the 4th of July weekend..average food...the place is small and serving size was Verage too....
Terrible service. The manager was extremely rude and it got to a point where you don't feel safe being in the midst of a residential area with no other stores and no pedestrians outside, especially with a mad store manager who has been rude in all 3-4 interactions during dinner, and gives you stares when you question why he still added 15% gratuity for a group of 3 after offering that level of terrible service. He is also not being honest, as I asked him for the store owner's phone number to talk to the owner first before sharing my experience, and he deceptively gave me the same restaurant number and refused to get me the business owner. I would never go back or recommend to anyone. Food is good but pricey, and certainly not worth it.
This place is horrible with food, customer service and pricing. We were 5 people they sat us at a small table with 4 chairs, pulled an extra chair in to seat the 5th person and our food sat on the edge of the table we were elbow to elbow. 3 tables for 6 people were empty and they told us someone was coming for reservations and we could not sit there. We got one menu for 5 people according to the owner we couldn’t get more they were “reserved” for the 3 empty tables that sat there. Could not believe it. The waitress was very rude, the when the food arrived one dish at a time it was cold, bland and not ethnic. There is also a mandatory 15% service fee in addition to the tip which is in fine print on their busy menu. When we were done eating 1.5 hours later those 3 large tables were still empty. I asked the owner how come no one showed up, he said those are “in case” we get a big group. Lies all around and even contradictory statements about their halal status. I will not return. Save your money and your appetite for something worthy.
I stopped in here on a whim particularly because I am Islamic and when I seen the sign I knew that they sold kosher/ halal food here and I was right. This place is very small so it's understood why the service here is really quick and the dining experience seems "rushed". Off bat this place seems to have large groups come in and out so me coming alone once again made me feel rushed I actually told them in willing to share my table to ease wait time for others because the food is too good and fresh and hot to eat it quickly. Lol. This place is has a mom and pop vibe, lack of decor, antiquated interior design and even boxes and clutter towards the back but here is my rule of judgement thumb: the more jacked up the place is the better the food will be. And this place has proven my theory to be correct. What makes it authentic is you can see and hear the kitchen in the back getting busy and making orders amongst the intimacy of the dining room. Just grand! Again I was seated immediately and I ordered spring rolls and chicken Chow mein. I barely got settled in my seat before my chow mein came out and then the rolls came a short while afterwards. Obviously each bite was fresh and hot but the way everything tasted and how ridiculously good the food was made this place special and personal by the minute. I had to save a few bites for my spouse it was so good. I spent about 30 bucks here and was glad about it. I am coming back soon. Highly recommended and personal new Fav.
Surprisingly nice flavorful dishes in a small hole in the wall place. A bit unique as Islamic Chinese but enjoy the meal with friends and staff were friendly as well
Very good taste. We had hotpot, the lamb is delicious but only 7 pieces per plate. The last we had fried Chinese mochi. That is the best mochi I ever had. There is long line for table and take out.
Totally above and beyond any other Chinese restaurants I've tried! They care about the quality of their food, and it's spiced to perfection. We had the hot and sour soup, fried bean curd noodles, sweet and sour chicken and cumin lamb. All were incredible!
Fine quality of food and fresh ingredients took me by total surprise! Mongolian Lamb and Lemon Chicken were absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend!
Can't believe we discovered this place! Yes, the place was a little noisy (kitchen is right behind the dining area), our server wasnt the friendliest, but the food was finger licking good!!!! Thats how I always know for a fact that we're going to get something super authentic and not Americanized! ?We ordered the Schezwan chicken, garlic sauce eggplant and cumin lamb. We inhaled the food in seconds and even considered going for second servings. Not giving 5 stars because they were charging us 2$ for like half a cup of rice. As an Asian, that almost feels like highway robbery but we were willing to pay up because the food was just that good!
The food was passable. The fried rice was super oily. The egg in the fried rice was soaked in oil. The mapo tofu was passable. Overall everything we ordered was just lacking a little bit in flavor. Maybe we caught them on an off day?
