I had a great experience when dining here. I was greeted and brought to the table. There is a QR code on the table so that everyone can order on their own with their own credit cards or you can all order at once on your phone. If you are sensitive to spiciness, make sure you put the oil and chili on the side so you can control how spicy you want your meal. If you want to order an item for to-go, make sure you let someone know so that they don't accidentally plate it. They were so nice and attentive when water was low and when we accidentally dropped our chopsticks haha. Thank you for your great service Mojo Ramen team.
This is your sign to order the FAT chicken leg ramen!Super delicious and fun to eat chicken leg and ramen! Other ramens ain't a mistake either! Even their apps are good.We got seated without a reservation pretty quickly on a weekday night. Once again, hard to find parking here though. Have a good meal!
I was super surprised and impressed by this place. I heard good things but I was a bit taken aback to see that all of their signatures were chicken-based broth and their core had a big chicken leg in it, ordered it pretty hesitantly.Wow, it was fantastic. Noodles were perfect -- a tiny bit tough at first / on top, so they're still cooking/soaking and are the perfect texture once you get into the heart of it rather than being too soft later on. Broth was delicious and toppings were well-chosen. The chicken was what I was most hesitant about, and just like the noodles it was a bit of a challenge at first -- and then as soon as it's been in the broth for a couple minutes, the meat is practically falling off the bone. Compliments the flavors so well and is easy to eat. I emptied the bowl, broth and all, it was incredible.Staff were also super helpful and sweet and attentive without being overbearing. You order and everything through a QR code which I was a bit miffed about at first but it seems like it translates to great service from the time they save so I really can't complain.Really fantastic place, may well be my favorite ramen joint in SF.
May 2022:Ate dinner here before a show at the Sydney Goldstein Theater. Tried the soy sauce tori paitan. I was very impressed with the broth. I've had the tori paitan at other places and Nojo is one of the better places I've tried. Kudos to the chef! The chicken leg was a big piece and the flavor was delicious. Similar to a soy sauce chicken! ?I like how you can order from the QR code and not have to wait for service. Love the efficiency!Service was great too. Was fast, which was impressive given this was peak time on a Friday night. Thanks for the delicious ramen. Will definitely come back again!
Amazing chicken Ramen. Super creamy and delicious broth, which you can make nice and spicy if you want. The noodles are nice and thick and filling. Definitely come here and try it out.
Arrived at the restaurant around 8pm on a Tues night, no wait at all. Ramen is good and flavorful as always, but they may have skimmed on the ramen amount? I'm not entirely sure since it's been awhile, but I do remember they used to put bonito flakes on top of the nojo fries. I would love to stay 6 feet apart from other tables (see picture) but what can I if I decided to dine in... Lol
Soup was Deliciously creamy and full of Unami, perfectly cooked ramen noodles. Chicken braised to perfection and well seasoned was filling of the bone. Glad being back for the food, the portions are big so no room for appetizers ?
Been here a few times over the last few years, always a solid experience. I really like their chicken meatballs so I always get the Shio Tori Paitan (no yuzu). Never been disappointed. They do tend to have a line, so if you can show up right after opening, or get on their waitlist before you arrive, you shouldn't have to wait too long.
Before visiting Nojo, I had only tried Ramen a couple of times and didn't love it.I ordered the Soy Sauce Chicken Ramen and it was SO good! (they were out of chicken leg pieces and offered chicken meatballs instead, which were great). The broth tasted so delicious (I added some of the "spice bomb" to the bomb - definitely get that on the side if you like your food spicy) and i would totally come back and order the exact same dish. The house Sake was very good as well and tasted a little bit of the fruit chickoo.Apart from that the service was quick, portions were large, indoor dining was comfortable.
Pretty good ramen, nothing special though. Paitan style as opposed to tonkotsu is a bit more oily. The wings were also pretty good, very umami.
