Amazing, top 3 meals I’ve ever had in San Fran

We went for our anniversary and were vegetarian and vegan respectively. Food didn’t feel satisfying. It was purely focused on vegetables without enough carbs or protein. None of the dishes felt like an indulgence. We love earthy flavours and I’ve been cooking delicious vegan meals for years now. This meal just felt like they removed the meat from the actual dish and only served us the vegetables. We weren’t even full after all the courses and that’s saying something. They served butter with bread for my husband who is vegetarian and just gave me oat chips because I was vegan. How difficult it is to source vegan butter and make bread? Places that say they serve vegan food but just remove non-vegan elements and place a half-hearted version is front of you are so disappointing and Nightbird was exactly that. If you eat meat, maybe this restaurant might do justice to your palette and wallet. But for us, there was hardly any value for money. For 2 people, the price was $420 (2x tasting menu + 1x drink person) and that is extremely steep for what we got from the meal. We’ve been to Michelin star places with amazing, indulgent food that’s cost us a bit less. All in all - it’s not a place for people that truly enjoy food. You leave the restaurant wanting more because the 5 course meal leaves you barely satisfied.

Wonderful food. Impeccable service. Very nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.

My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner. What a fantastic restaurant to celebrate! The service was outstanding, the sommelier’s choices for the wine pairing were perfect and the food was incredibly delicious! Every dish was presented beautifully. They got every little detail right and even helped us celebrate with a anniversary card and champagne. We highly recommend Nightbird. Check out the small bar before or after with outstanding signature cocktails too!

Wonderful experience overall. Incredible flavors. Chef Atler cooks up some magic that’s worth experiencing now before she gets her well deserved Michelin stars.

Simply superb!

Interesting and delicious.

Amazing service and wonderfully prepared dishes. Each one a work of art. Definitely go for a special occasion.

I’ve heard good comments about this place before, so I decided to give it a try with my boyfriend on a Friday date night. It was AMAZING, food was a complete experience. A travel of different tastes and cultures throughout the entire pre fix menu. Service was outstanding Mark Little and Lowel made our date night so magical. Cocktails were well balanced and perfectly integrated each one of the ingredients. We loved the food and the service! Thanks to the Chef and the cooks, to the bartender and to our amazing server and sommelier! We definitely will be back with friends and family.

Highly recommended! Creative chef on her way to Michelin stars.
