One of the best restaurants I have been to.I agree it’s expensive, but I am not disappointed at all. I am glad I had this experience!Great food, amazing presentation, unique taste profiles, good service!Overall very satisfied.

10/10 would recommend this restaurant5/5 ambiance & cleanliness of the restaurant5/5 customer service: our waiter was outstanding and very attentive. We were happy that we went his recommendations for most of the food. He really made our experience extremely memorable when he offered to ask the chefs if my friend and I could meet them and we did! Such an honor!5/5 (overall) for the food- aesthetically pleasing plating of the food- fine culinary skills. Overall, every dish is delicious and has its own balanced blend of flavor and textural contrast. For the sake of my thumbs, I'll go into details about some of the dishes but not all. You have to experience the dishes in person as my review cannot describe or encompass everything.- (5+) Basteeya - most memorable dish of the night for me. The phyllo sheets were so thin and crispy! Sourness of the cranberry and the creamy creme fraiche complemented the sweet poached pears and the juicy duck inside. The different flavors and textural contrast blended well together. Hard to explain in words so you have to try it for yourself.- (5/5) the octopus was SOOOOOO SOFT and juicy. At most restaurants I've been to, the octopus lacks flavor and tought as if overcooked, but Mourad was the first to show me that cooked octopus can still be soft and chewy. I love the charred, smoky broccoli. This dish makes me like broccoli, and I don't even like broccoli.- the heirloom beans: the beans were HUGE, the size of a quarter. I haven't seen such big beans until Mourad. I love spices so I enjoy the way spices pop in my mouth. The creamy sauce soothes the spiciness and pungent spices so it'll be good for those with lower tolerance for spices.- (5+) the main entrees were delicious (brazino & squab). The fish skin was soo crispy, and the meat consisted of two fillets pressed together to give it a round shape. Interestingly, the way they pressed fish kept the meat together and the meat wasn't dried or fell apart after cooking. The squab is their new addition - tender, juicy, and not game-y at all.Tip: The main entrees are perfectly sized for a single person. For a full culinary experience, I recommend ordering a couple appetizers and small bites and an entree. Sampling the smaller dishes will fill you up. Their family style dishes (e.g. short ribs, lamb shoulder etc) are BIG, and I strongly recommend only ordering it when you have a big party (at least 3 extremely hungry people or 4 people with normal appetite). For a party of 2, unless you're extremely hungry, one of those will be too much and you won't be able to able to enjoy their other dishes.Overall, wonderful experience at Mourad, and a well-deserved Michelin star. Hopefully, I'll get chance to revisit and experience their food again!

Amazing place! We went here to celebrate birthday and it was the right choice. Service is very attentive and unobtrusive. We tried two duck appetizers, branzino and squab. Squab is beyond any expectations- definitely try it. Duck appetizer are delicious and interesting in tastes. Branzino was very well cooked, but nothing standing out. This is one of the best restaurant in San Francisco, you’re missing out of not trying.

Mourad Restaurant took Moroccan dining up a notch. This is definitely different from all the restaurants I have visited in Casablanca and Fez while I was traveling in Morocco.Based on everyone's reviews and recommendations, their Basteeya is the highlight of the restaurant. The phyllo sheets are so thin and crispy, and sourness from cranberry and sweet pears along with the perfectly cooked duck complimented each other. To top it off, it was beautifully presented and perfect appetizer to be shared between the table.I also ordered Lamb Tartare, Lamb, and Cous Cous for the evening. Everything was delicious and flavorful. My favorite was a tie between the Basteeya and Lamb Tartare.Instead of getting alcoholic item, I opted for the Moroccan Tea that is usually offered on their dessert item as my drink. Table near us saw us enjoying our tea so much that they didn't wait for dessert time to get their either.Great price, great value and great service. I really enjoyed my dining experience here at Mourad.

Fantastic food. Everything was just perfection

What a fine experience! Celebrated our anniversary here and it turned out to be such a special experience. Kind, polite, very patient staff, dedicated sommelier that suggests drinks and customizations per guests' likings. Server recommended their best dishes and his recos did not disappoint! The drinks are smooth & amazingly well made and the food -- some of the best I've ever had. They surprised us at the end of dinner with a sweet, bite-sized anniversary treat on the house. Definitely worth the splurge. Would love to go back again.

Overall great restaurant with beautiful aesthetic, delicious food and tasty beverages. I would highly recommend checking it out while you’re in SF.Our original reservation was cancelled due to COVID precautions, but we were able to book something several days later. I was even gifted a bottle of wine for my inconvenience.

Definitely a fancy place with a lots of options for food and drinks. However, it’s not pretentious and can be comfortable just for a couple of friends hanging out. What’s interesting is that you can order like this is a normal restaurant - normal food and drink. Or you have the choice to go nuts here and spend $300-500 per person easily.Love this place!Ps, the build the restaurant sits in is, in my opinion, most beautiful in SF.

Great vegetarian options and amazing experience dining in. Perfect place to celebrate any occasion.

Food is pretty decent but service is extremely slow! What a pity. Short ribs were nice but portions for the grilled meats section are indeed very large (portioned for 2-5 pax.)
