Live music was quite loud for anyone dining outside. Very difficult to hold a conversation.
Excellent service and excellent food. It made for a lovely evening visiting San Francisco. The cherry on top was the live band playing wonderful music on the patio. 5 stars! Weâll be sure to visit again.
1) we were seated close to the time of our reservation but no table service for over 20 minutes. I got up and asked if we could put in an order for yucca fries until our server could come to us 2) the (very friendly and accommodating) bartender (?) was apologetic and took our dinner order 3) yucca fries were just ok (Limon so much better) but were crispy 4) did not like the spices on the grilled octopus (personal taste) 5) the (3) scallops were so small, not a good value for the price 6) platano maduros were sweet and delicious 7) Chaufa Pork Belly dish was quite bland This was the first time we came and didn't order any cebiches which are usually delicious so we could try other items on the menu. This was a big mistake for us. Chose to recommend but with caveats to stick to chicharrones and cebiches!
Mochica had some tasty and wonderful cocktails. The food was super flavorful and delicious. There may not have been enough people working because service was super slow. Our waiter was so friendly and kind, but it was hard to get him and order things, because he seemed overly busy.
Hector was amazing and made us feel very welcome, throughout the night he came by to check in on us and make recommendations on how to enhance our experience. Every recommendation he made was perfect and made it a Truly unique experience. Our server was amazing as well Johanna/Yohanna? I believe was her name. She was very attentive and welcoming and having Hector (who seemed to be the manager) swing by to check on us was really above and beyond. This place cares about their guests!! Joel the bartender made some amazing drinks and also gave us perfect recommendations based off the preferences we shared about what we like in a cocktail. TOP NOTCH care @ Mochica!! thank you!!!
Took some friends that were visiting town there and had the most lovely night! The food was delicious, and the service incredibly attentive and friendly. We were celebrating one of our friends got a new job and it was the perfect dinner. Highly recommend the alfajores and churros for dessert.

Variety is good, and flavors are good though the ceviche could have used a bit more acid. Noise level is excessive however and you have to shout to be heard.

I have extremely fond memories of this place when it was down in SOHO. I had been to the new location once before and was excited to bring my new partner here and we were disappointed. The quality of the food has gone downhill, rhe service was inattentive and the waitress was like a fast food order taker. Our plates were literally thrown down in front of us. I do not recommend
