Ice cream lover’s paradise. The people working there are very nice and helpful. I've been here multiple times and I've always seen a line. This ice cream is well-worth the wait.A few tips… Small parking lot behind the building. Take a number from inside before waiting in line.
We were visiting a friend who lives in San Francisco and she took us Mitchell's which is in her neighborhood. She warned us that the line was usually long but we found a parking place in the back easily and there weren't many people. Big shop with a great selection and it has a neighborhood feel to it.
When you arrive, go inside to get a number. While you wait, which will most likely be quick, you can check out all of their amazing flavors either on their website or around the building were they have the flavors posted. Once you hear it's called you go inside and order.I got strawberry and creme and vanilla bean on a waffle cone. Everything was super yummy. This will definitely become a regular place.
Great and famous local ice cream shop in San Francisco. I showed up at 10pm and there was still a 30 minute wait where you need to take a number and are served according to the number that’s up. I had a two scoop mango (1) and ube (1) and it was so great. Rich, creamy ice cream with flavors that are true to their names. The waffle cone was a great vehicle for the treat, especially as there’s limited space to sit and enjoy the ice cream near the shop!
We went to Mitchell's ice cream ? ??to have their famous ice cream. People, friends, and family say that its the best ice cream ? in San Francisco, but actually it's okay not the best .

It is my favorite ice cream, period. I can write about how delicious their ice cream is all day long. I highly recommend you try it for yourself. It's the only way you'll understand why this place is my favorite and the favorite of so many people. If you like ice cream, you won't be disappointed with any of their flavors.
What can I say I'm a native San Franciscan and this place will always be the best. Mango , coconut pineapple,and butterscotch are my favorites. Bobo loves it too
We had such a nice experience coming here for ice cream!!The ice cream was delicious, of course! But despite the long line of customers, service was quick. You pick a number from inside and once your number is called you are served.
