Great staff, great food, great service.

Sometimes three dudes sit down and order nine courses of Michelin starred Chinese food.I got the “Wealth,” cocktail hoping to manifest some good financial fortune but now I’m sitting here wondering if my intentions were actually just full of greed and if I’m going to spark a global recession as a result. I didn’t expect to spiral into an existential crisis as a result of this dinner but here we are.Anyway, the scallion pancake rocked. Beef chow fun was very fun. We split a 5 pound Peking duck between 3 people and ate until we were nauseous. I had a blast.

Great experience. I'd highly recommend the scallion pancakes! They're aren't the traditional pancakes you might have grown up but one with much more texture and caviar dipping sauce. I was especially impressed with the broth for such a clear and clear broth it had SO MUCH flavor. We will definitely come back to try the roasted duck with a larger group!

Overall disappointing experience. While the service was attentive and wonderful, the food just wasn’t enjoyable or even memorable, other than the beginning and end - fermented cabbage snack and the cherry and chocolate dessert. The scallion pancakes were ok, the shrimp fried rice was good but the shrimp were the tiny ones you can buy in bulk, the wonton were ok but so spicy that the dish was difficult to enjoy. And, the beef chow fun was an odd mixture of taste and consistency. We basically left about half of our dishes uneaten. We enjoy fine dining and elevated flavors and dishes. We didn’t find that to be our experience here. And left still craving for delicious Chinese cuisine.

First and foremost, charging $2 for a two-tablespoonful serving of hot sauce when the final bill was nearly $370 irked me like nothing else. The incredibly nice waiter tried to defend it by saying that it served as “A DETERRENT”, although a deterrent to what was not explained. Do people ask for a gallon of this? He also added that the restauranteur was merely covering his costs!! To make my point to him further, I asked him to be sure to pack my “$2 HOT SAUCE” to go. Secondly, it was not so subtle that our meal was rushed, in spite of the fact that we ordered a bottle of wine and were well aware of the two-hour limit that we had, which was reiterated in the text that we received from the restaurant to confirm our reservation. That rush was evident in the beginning of the meal when he insisted on taking our entire order at the same time, rather than have us pace ourselves, with the lame explanation that doing it otherwise would “DRIVE THE KITCHEN CRAZY”. Finally, the quality of the food by no way matched the incredible price charged. For example, when charging $90 for a whole fish, you would expect something special. It was bland and quite average to say the least, thus prompting the request for the hot sauce, and tons of lemon to give it some taste. The other dish that we tried was the mabu tofu, which was drenched in this chili paste that you see on tables in Chinese restaurants, and even for spice lovers like us, it was terrible.

I had high expectations going in to my experience at Mister Jius and for the most part they were not met. At this price I expect something special.Highs:Tasty and unique cocktailsPerfectly cooked fish, poultry and meatAttentive serviceLows:Overall menu creativityLack of delicate/highly developed flavorsSpecial ingredients not given a chance to shineMost dishes lean savory and not quite balanced

Absolutely unreal. Lives up to the hype. We loved the noodles and asparagus and scallion pancake but the mapu tofu is an absolute must. Will be back as soon as possible. Wait staff was also amazing.

It was okay. The food for the most part was good. But for the price, I was expecting great. We were a group of 4 and as another reviewer had mentioned, we were highly encouraged to order much more food than we could finish. We ordered the overly hyped (by our server) duck dish but it didn't stand out against traditional Peking duck and we just casually picked at it. The oyster dish was great though and I would recommend that many times over. Overall, I didn't even learn this restaurant had a Michelin star until after the meal, and I'm still not convinced it was awarded one.

The cocktail menu haven't change for years and seems the quality is down compare with before. The food is good as usual, radish surprised me. the chicken was ok. The chillie oil is very good but maybe more spicy could give more layer?
