Made reservations for granddaughterâs 14th. Asked for a window seat. There were seats available and as we were seated on the 2nd tier, they were viewable. They are nice booths, however that was not what I had requested. Service was slow with a minimal amount of bread and butter coming to the table after some time. It was not an especially busy night; an 8:30 dinner seating. Once food came to the table, the server literally tossed the dishes down, never made eye contact and never asked if we needed anything else. Our waiter did not check on us. Someone did come by towards the end of our meal and refilled our water glasses. I have been dining here since they opened as the fish is fresh and the views are wonderful. The service has gone down hill. Will have 2nd thoughts about returning.
We had a great anniversary lunch here on Sunday. The food was great, drinks were great, and the service was excellent. Our server Lisa did a great job. This restaurant has the most beautiful view of the bay. We will return.

We do love this nice and friendly restaurant, which we visit twice (oysters and champagne in the bar, and Dungeness Crab in the restaurant) each time in San Francisco. Since 1996!
We reserved our spot on the DAY OF and they still were able to get us in and not only that, we got our requested window seat with a PERFECT view of Alcatraz. This lunch was for my 30th birthday and they even wrote on the menus "Happy 30th Birthday!" which I thought was a super thoughtful and personal little message. Everything was pretty amazing and nice including the foods, drinks and service. Can't wait to come back!
Anniversary weekend
Love this place! Great food, service and ambience. The view is beautiful, Aquatic Park, Alcatraz, Sailboats on the bay!
