They used to have good music selections. Now they just play typical pop songs you can hear all the time at shopping malls. I mean cmon it’s Friday. I requested a song for Dj, never played it!!!! Ain’t it

Excellent food, environment and friendly service. French toast with lots of flavor, eggs, bacon and salmon. Nice drinks. A pop up. The manager came by twice to visit. Id do it again anytime!

Mayes Oysterhouse is the oldest bar in SF... and a gem of a venue. owned and operated by the man, the myth, the legend, Matt Atat Tat; it is my favorite place to hang. The vibe is live, especially if you are lucky enough to catch the monthly Black Pearl Party!!! I'll be there Thursday the 17th for the best Djs I have seen and the amazing live art! This week, they are having the magic art raffle, and some lucky souls are going to take home masterpieces by the most exciting artists this Renaissance has to offer!! Definitely let yourself experience SF at its finest and go to Mayes!!!+♡
Unfriendly & unhelpful staff. Known theft issue that the bouncers seem well aware of but don't mind. There are great options on Polk street, I'd recommend strolling past Mayes and having a great night elsewhere.
The chef was super nice and the rest of the staff made great suggestions for our brunch. This was a great New Year's day recovery brunch.
A great place to hang out and have a bite and a drink! The staff and owner are all super friendly. I've been a guest DJ here since 2011 or so, and I always enjoy myself every time I visit!!
