The best restaurant i have been so far, very delicate and tasty food, very pleasant indoor atmosphere. I definitely recommend Maruya . The experience was just amazing ! Love it !

They offer a special vegan omakase. It's phenomenal. Unique - each course feels traditional, and beautifully presented. The servers are kind and attentive.Forget about that other, over hyped vegan sushi place in town. ? Maruya is a better overall experience.

We had an excellent experience at Maruya. An unexpected gem off of 16th street between S. Van Ness and Mission. Staff was very kind, attentive, and helpful. We came in to celebrate an occasion and they went the extra mile (although subtle, which is even better) to make us feel special. The food was excellent and some dishes were plated charmingly. The progression of the meal was well timed and worked well in the order that they intended. Price point is a bit on the high end so this might not be your regular weekday sushi spot. But excellent for a celebration or to satisfy a fancy Japanese omakase craving. Don't be deterred by the hustle and bustle of 16th Street, this place deserves all the attention. Overall, I would highly recommend Maruya.

Maruya was so fantastic. I set up a date for friends who had helped me in a rough patch, and they helped me coordinate paying for the meal and dropping off a card, it was perfect. Super grateful!
Amazing. We were blown away by the artistry and flavors in each dish. They have wonderful vegetarian options as well. This is a beautiful place for celebrating a special occasion with loved ones.
