The make-out room is a dope af neighborhood bar. They make strong drinks. They always have cool shows on a nightly basis as well as bumping tunes by some local d.j.'s. Make-out room also is known to have wonder drag and burlesque performances that I highly recommend. Many local performers pass through those doors and put on some great shows. I really appreciate that there are booths and chairs in addition to the bar and dance floor. There's also a coat check for added convenience. If you're ever in 22nd need a drink and something to do I recommend the make-out room.
Nice bar and club in Mission district. Friendly staff and good customer service. I have attended CarnavalSF Mardigras Fat Tuesday events here several times. Fun place to be. Interesting ceiling. Nice place to hangout.
I love this place so much. I know I pre-date it, but I still consider it to be a San Francisco institution and a great one at that. There is WIDE spectrum of quality programming, and the door prices, when they exist, are affordable. Great vibe, great long-term people running things. As a very fussy drinker my only complaint is the very meh cocktails and wine, but what are you gonna do? It's not meant to be THAT kind of place anyway. Come for the music, and stay for the music.
