Really nice Salvadoran restaurant, delicious food - pupusas with chicken and mushrooms&garlic my favorite! Life music on street, nice atmosphere! I had really good time!
Los Amigos tacos we're very delicious. A taste of Salvador masterpiece of tacos. California has the favorite tacos.
Fantastic pupusas and overall amazing food! Came here on the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. I just wish this were back in NYC so I could go every week!
We ordered one pupusas and churrusco. but we got 6 pupusas instead, we found about after we arrived home. When we called the restaurant, they didn’t offer refund or deliver our original order. They just blamed waiter for that. Very bad experience! Plus pupusas are not even good. Not authentic Salvadorian food.
Great portions, good price, wide variety of Salvadoran & Mexican food, something for Vegetarians & Vegans, lively crowd, inside and outside. Close to the 16th & Mission Bart station and easy to find parking. Friendly staff, filled our waters without us asking, same with chips and salsa.
The shrimp ceviche and the Pupusas were amazing! So yummy!!! Pork and bean and cheese were great combination.
The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was hot and delicious. May I suggest the Papussas.
I’d give this place an 11 if I could. Found outdoor seating at 1 on a Sunday afternoon, and staff was very friendly (proper friendly, not Mission district nonchalant hipster friendly) to us and our large dog. Received chips and salsa right after we sat down. Ordered a pupusa plate and chile relleno, both solid. Pupusas (1 pork and 1 chipotle) were tasty and had great texture, side guac was chunky and fresh, beans were hot and comforting, and fried plaintains were best I’ve had in the city. Wife’s chile relleno was also best I’ve tasted in the city, and many places in Mexico. You could actually taste the pepper on it’s own in all it’s smoky goodness, not to mention the balance with the cheese inside and sauce on top. With beers and a good tip, lunch was just over $50. I couldn’t believe it.
10 dollars for a handful of chips that weren’t even complete ( mostly broken into halves or thirds) and the horchata tastes like olives and smelled like olive water. Everything was way too expensive and besides service being minimal, I understand why we were some of the only people eating here on such a busy night.?
Cute little joint with outside seating and no issues with dogs at the table. The papusas were so good. I had never had them before, so the staff helped walk me through how to order. would recommend
