Fantastic little place with amazing food and wonderful people. If you're in San Francisco and like Ukrainian food, You've got to come check this place out.
Great Ukrainian food! The menu does not show an option for a sample platter, but the chef was able to give us a mix of beef, chicken and potato&onion. The dumplings (as advertised) truly were amazing (the green chicken were the best) - the fried potatoes dumplings were pretty good, as were the borsh and piroshki. Ate a lot but didn't feel too full afterwards - will come again
Average, but expensive food ($20 for 20 dumplings). Was OK, but not coming back.
The food here was really terrific. The atmosphere is fairly basic, and it is pricey, but it was a lovely way to meet friends for dinner and try something new -- and all of the dishes were excellent, especially the dumplings.
Been there multiple times and loved it. I also order from their website from time to time. Their cherry dumplings and syrniki are one love! This is the only place I found, where sour cherries are used in dumplings - and trust me, it makes a huge difference. Overall, I would really recommend trying everything in their menu! These guys know how to cook Ukrainian food properly ?
Overall good. Definitely simple and mostly authentic cuisine. The vibe is definitely lunch cafe and not really a great date night environment. Nice owners and decent food, albeit a little overpriced (like most things in SF)
We ordered a selection of frozen Ukrainian dumplings delivered to our doorstep during their regular delivery run. OMG they are SO GOOD! So far chicken is our #1 with an incredibly well seasoned filling full of broth (how do they do it??) Lamb is #2, flavored with mint among others I think. Potato and onion also awesome and we're really looking forward to tasting cherry filled dessert piroshki. The ingredients are all local, Marin Sun Farms meats, Rosie's chicken... We're considering a subscription!
Really friendly staff and food is delicious! You can mix and match the dumplings. Honey cake is really good too.
Ordered four packages of frozen dumplings from their online store. They were delivered with no issues and cooked perfectly! Delicious. Looking forward to trying all of the other flavors and items!
Pushkin serves excellent food in a great location - we had a great time there! I recommend it, even though this was the first time I've had Ukrainian cuisine. The staff is fantastic and we will go again.
