As of April 2022 --months after all mandates had ended-- this store was still making every customer who walked through the door wear a mask (and may still be today AFAIK). As other reviews have noted, if it was about safety they would follow CDC guidance instead of imposing their anti-science agenda on customers and the poor staff. The location is beyond convenient (1/2 block from my front door), but I'm done with Le Beau forever.
This ain’t your typical corner store. Le Beau is a gem of a grocery store. They carry the basics plus more than a few indulgences, including a nicely-curated ice cream section and an impressive selection of wines. The produce is excellent and the staff is top notch. Bonus: they have an excellent deli serving tasty sandwiches, sushi, salads and more.
Great local market that offers a vast array of top-quality, organic and regular products, as well as delicacies and alcoholic beverages. Their prepared foods and subs are delicious too. We especially appreciate their personalized and efficient customer service.
Such an incredible grocery store and one of the main reasons I’ve been finding it hard to move out of Nob Hill. The store is small but has literally everything you may need. I cook a lot and I can almost always find everything I need there, including otherwise specialty things like Rose Water and Orange Blossom. The stuff are also so very nice and helpful. I go there almost every day and am so grateful for this store.
Be careful. Produce may not be fresh. I should have checked the expiration date, but overlooked doing so because I didn't have much time. I bought moldy mushrooms for almost $5.
I used to live across the street from this place in the mid 1990s. I can see from the pictures and reviews that everything is still awesome there. Great food, great service, super friendly staff.
Good service and products. Have been a steady customer and a friend to the owner for many years.
Free mask and great service
One can find great food in small stores at reasonable prices. A great local neighborhood market, not an impersonal giant box that attempts to get whole families addicted to corn products
