First time ever! Best food I had from San Francisco ?
I got the ramen burger (vegetarian). I'll never have to do that again, and neither should you. Staff was nice and food prep was fast, but overall, this is a mess in a plastic box. They even give you a fork and knife for your 'burger'.The veggie patty itself is good, but a little under cooked. The ramen 'buns' ruin everything beneficial about both buns and ramen. They're fried on the outside, so they're oily and crispy, and they're normal noodles on the inside of the burger, so when you bite them they get stringy. The barbeque sauce is watery and weak, and there is shredded lettuce everywhere. Why are we even using lettuce anymore when there's spinach? And why make it go into a plastic box that will just go into landfill?My recommendation: just turn whole the idea into a ramen salad. Cold ramen noodles cut about 1 inch long + crispy burger patty cut into 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch squares + spinach and any other veggies, all in a compostable box. It's the same ingredients presented better. If you want it to be handheld (which it is not currently), wrap it in a tortilla or nori and put it all into aluminum like a burrito.
I want to like the food coming out of the L&L location but it isn't so. First off I ordered the shrimp curry, it was bland and had no spice to it and the portion size was soooo teeny tiny for the price. AND ONLY 3 SHRIMP!!!!!. Also not enough curry sauce for the rice. Skip this restaurant and go to a real L&L on Oahu if you can.
Good value especially from 3pm - 6pm they have specials for 3 hours like 3 spam masubi meal for $6
We got the 3 meat plate with 2 sides. Sides were delicious and the meat portions were crazy big! However, the chicken was just average, and the beef and pork were slightly salty and chewy. You get a lot for the price, but the quality could have been better.
Skip the ramen burger. Too oily and not much substance.
Love this place!! Great customer service. Food is delicious. Always fresh. Temperature of the food is good. Prices are reasonable. I normally order the BBQ chicken plate with just steamed rice minus the macaroni salad
Pretty mediocre, but the prices were more than fair for the ehhh quality. I haven't tried their Ramen burger yet (coming soon)
Filling portions, tender meat. Genuine, friendly staff.
Fantastic hawaiian food. Great for when you are on lunch in the neighborhood, and looking for something quick and delicious.
