Love their cajun tenders. 8pcs is so much food!
The small place looks clean. The customer service is best described as “meh.” I felt like the guy was rushing me even though there wasn’t anybody else behind me. I wanted dark meat but they didn’t have drumstick but I was okay with all thighs. It comes with biscuits but they didn’t have any so without asking me if it was okay, he simply “told” me he’s giving me potato wedges instead. It wasn’t a deal breaker so I went with the flow. I wanted mashed potatoes and gravy but he was rushing me too much. I even asked if they had some ready, and he said yes. It wasn’t until I was in the car that I realized I forgot to order the mashed potatoes.I’ve had KKC from two other locations before. I liked the crunch and the hint of spiciness. I happened to mention to the guy that I usually buy mine from other locations and the guy insisted theirs is better because of the high quality oil they use. He’s wrong. Their chicken is not better than the other locations. Their chicken wasn’t as crunchy and they lacked flavor. They were decent fried chicken but they did not have KKC fried chicken flavor. If you’re gonna tell me yours is better, you’d better be able to back it up!
Decent fried cajun crab $50 here, not great. The cajun crab was deep fried and dried rubbed. It came with little pieces of jalapeno peppers and lemon wedges. The included carapace innards were cooked with what tasted like egg, missing that custardy texture/sea urchin taste. I also got four pieces of tenders $8. That tasted fine. I was planning to using the biscuit to dip the innards of the crab but couldn't because the innards were cooked too firm. O well, can't win them all.
Definitive fried chicken, they call it KRISPY, KRUNCHY CHICKEN!!! The texture, the flavors and consuming satisfaction all lend themselves to the positive experience, especially if you've never ventured there. Do find the time to venture there.
Best crunchy chicken
Ultra tender chicken under a tasty crispy layer.I ordered eight pieces of dark meat through GrubHub. The chicken is really really really tender, like more tender than I thought was possible. The marinade is injected through the meat down to the bone which is how it's flavorful and super tender throughout the chicken. The honey mustard is very tasty. The chicken is a bit spicy and extremely salty. I was drinking water between every bite.
I've lived here over two years without trying this place! Everything I got was amazing. The chicken was juicy. The Cajun tenders had an incredible crust. The fries (potato wedges) had the perfect crispy outside and tender, meaty inside kind of ratio. The gravy I got was exactly what I hoped it would be, which to be honest, is a KFC kind of gravy. Hell the buffalo sauce was even what I hoped it would be, being basically a Frank's Red Hot.I placed an order online, and walked in, and to my surprise, it wasn't all bagged up getting sweaty, but there was a box there representing my order. They assembled my order when I got there which took seconds. Overall beyond satisfied and will be coming back plenty of times!!!As for the lady about the hair: it's a freaking single hair. Like.... a hair. She said a piece of hair like someone got a piece of their scalp removed. Really unfair assessment to be honest. I would have eaten that hair if it was mingling with this incredible chicken because it's just so good. Lady, if a single short strand of hair grosses you out, you probably shouldn't ever touch anything in public or breathe air in a populated area ever again. It just happens, who freaking cares?
Friendly, yummy, fast
My son ordered dinner from Krispy Krunchy chicken tonight and I am so disappointed to know that my son and I both found hair in our boxes of chicken. His box was so greasy at the bottom that it had created a hole in the bottom of the box. My box had a big piece of hair at the bottom of the box, which I didn't notice until I finished eating the chicken because it was hidden under the third piece that I saved until last. Not only that, but the biscuit that came in my box was broken, like it had been sitting all day. This review is not meant to be mean, but to draw attention to detail and to train the Krispy Krunchy employees to pay more attention and be more careful when handling people's food and the food boxes that they are preparing for their customers. Hopefully this review will help customers receive better service/ food quality in the future.Thank You
Very expensive and not delicious
