Is this an authentic Indian restaurant? No. However it does have its own unique flair with an Indian-American fusion. Their main dishes are either combo plates or naan wraps and you choose entrees for both. The food was ok but not good. I would say this restaurant is good for convenient and quick food fare but not for more memorable experiences.
Even in San Francisco’s skid row district, meals are overpriced. It seems sometimes that you can’t have lunch for less than 20$…reminds me of Maui. Yet here at Kasa, you can have a hearty entree and naan for about 13 bucks. The lamb curry is excellent.
Came here for a naan wrap and some chai. The portions were great, they gave a lot of meat but I didn’t think it had as much flavor as I am use to with Indian food. It’s a good place for a quick and filling Indian meal and the service is great!
Highly recommend. Easy to order on their screens. Thali plate is great because you get to smoke several dishes at once. The lamb was delicious and juicy. Everything was full of flavor and fresh. Friendly staff. Very clean location. I like that you can choose to eat with your hands or they can give you utensils. Taj Mahalo was really good.
The food is very tasty with mild spice. Must try!!
Made a quick stop to try their chai and it was Awesome! Great service as well. Definitely recommend.
Vegetarian Food: Got a Paneer Kati roll to go and Thumbsup. Roll was decent. Had flavor but I have had better so the 3 star. Customer service was good. :)
I ordered the chicken tikka masala, rice, and naan. The food was just not good. I live locally and wanted to like this place but:- the rice was hard and undercooked, with a splash of sauce in it when I opened the container- the naan was so sweet, like a donut, and spongy. I just ordered plain naan, why does it taste like dessert?- the tikka masala was pure tomato sauce and chili oil. The chicken was tender but the sauce ruined it. Couldn’t taste any of the traditional spices or creaminess I was familiar with.Seems like a fusion place, but I was expecting something more traditional.
We stopped here for evening snack. Tried the chai, samosa, and kathi rolls. The chai was very hot and they served it in a paper cup which kind of ruined the taste a little bit. The samosa were good although my friend saw them take out Haldiram's frozen samosa, so can't say for sure if they used the same.We liked the paneer and the chicken kathi rolls. Good quantity for the price. Taste was good too.
The food was good. The guy taking my order was totally majorly rude. I only stayed because I was very hungry. I won't go back. It's really because I've met one of people in charge. I work in a store and we sell their Chai tea.
