First time trying a Peruvian restaurant in San Francisco. We got a table inside with minimum space for sitting, there was a couple right behind us and the space wasn’t enough for all of us. We asked to be moved, the hostess was not friendly at all. We ended up sitting at the bar. We ordered the giant veggie empanada we received 2 small ones instead (they didn’t inform us in advance), one cebiche and 2 Nikkei sour. The food was ok, but nothing impressive for the price.
Pricy dinner spot $$$Came with a group of 5 and we're promptly seated on weeknight.Happy hour:3 for $15 cocktail was a good deal. They give you full size drinks. The drinks were a bit watered down for our taste.Empanadas were a good appetizer, it's a good deal if you come during the right happy hour time and get them for $ 3 per each. The crispy pork was a mistake. It's an acquired taste.Sirloin steak option was tasty. It could have used some more of the delicious sides of potato to complement the meal.ServiceWe liked the service but felt like the waitress barely stopped by to check on us. It took us 20-30 minutes to get drinks ordered.Main entrees:The main entrees were decent but nothing memorable. Considering the high price point I had higher expectations and was underwhelmed.Overall it's a decent restaurant but price to value is not aligned for this restaurant.
This place is a gem! Fantastic Peruvian cuisine! Plates are generous, if your appetite is low definitely one can serve 2 people. Try the lomo saltado! Fantastic! Will be back soon to try the Ceviches!
This is such a lovely restaurant. I held my birthday brunch there recently and they were able to accommodate my 10-person group. We were seated in the room with the Yunza tree, and it has great atmosphere. The staff was all very delightful and made my special day fantastic. The food was delicious, and the staff was very attentive. We had the margarita punchbowls for the table, and they were delicious. The empanadas are delicious as well.I would recommend this restaurant to others and will return there in the future.
We enjoyed our Saturday lunch here ! We chose outdoor seating, food is tasty and restaurant staff are friendly. This restaurant is on the pricier side, I guess it’s an unique restaurant in a popular neighborhood in SF.Notes: we drove here and it’s hard to find parking. You can park at a nearby Wells Fargo parking lot for $12 flat fee (until 7pm)
One of the best places I went to have dinner. The food is out of this world and the restaurant has very good vibes. We had the meat and vegetables empanadas to start, and then best seafood pilaf( sorry forgot real name) 10 out of 10. For dessert tres leches it was delicious. Highly recommend this place. Very reasonable prices for the area and amazing stuff. Masha was very knowledgeable and super friendly Definitely my favorite spot to eat in the Marina ???
This is a beautiful restaurant with friendly servers providing Peruvian eats in a popular neighborhood. While this isn’t my go to Peruvian spot, it does offer this area a cuisine not commonly found.I think things were slightly over priced like a $34 dollar lomo saltado but the serving size and taste were good. I actually thought the ceviche was the best thing we ordered. Empanadas were good as well.
Super fast service, friendly and welcoming staff, and very tasty food. What more can you ask for from a restaurant? We had had this restaurant on our list of go to's for some time and glad that we finally went on a weekend date night. Glad that we did and were able to get seated by the tree and feel like we had the restaurant to ourselves for the majority of the meal. we will definitely be back for more experiences like the one we had.
Decent experience here. Definitely paying for the ambiance and location. Nothing that really impressed me.
This has become my husband’s and I favorite restaurant. We travel from Santa Clara just to eat here. Food is fantastic and all staff is fantastic. Every waiter or waitress we’ve had go above and beyond. The restaurant manager has also gone above and beyond when the place is packed and waits are long. The food is top notch. Highly recommend!
