I love this place. It’s the most legit Philly cheesesteak in SF (I’m from the Philly area). They ship in Amoroso rolls from Philly and even have Tastykakes! They’re normally awesome, but tonight they completely over salted the steak. It tasted like they threw a whole handful of salt into the meat. It was borderline inedible and I couldn’t even finish the sandwich. I’ve been coming here for 14 years, they just messed up tonight.Guys, please watch the salt! Next time I’ll bump the stars back up to 5 if the problem gets fixed.

Friendly staff and amazing cheesesteaks. The mushroom one is in particular fabulous if you like sautéed cremini mushrooms. Beef slices are super thin and soft, with just the right amount of cheese

absolutely not. this place is not good at all and I will never go back. if you have ever had a real cheesesteak, this will not substitute. and the italian hoagie was like a sandwich you would get in a school cafeteria (and it was almost $20).

My wife and I were passing thru San Francisco and wanted to find some local cusine, Jake's Steaks was a gem to find, the staff was very kind and the food was delicious. We sat outside and shared some drinks after our meal.

This is authentic Philly Cheesesteaks! I cannot recommend Jakes Steaks enough. I have baited both Valencia and Marina location. If your hungry head right to Jakes. The food was phenomenal

Sweet spot to watch the eagles play ball. They've got a dank breakfast cheesesteak and for all you vegetarians a beyond cheesesteak! I'm not from Philly but I'm told this place gets it pretty close

No Mask Making All The Food No Thanks, Ill go somewhere someone respects the rules ?

Great spot to enjoy cheese steaks and Philly sports. Outdoor seating available. Eggplant parm cheese steak is a tasty plant based option. They also have tasty cakes here... enjoy East coasters!

Go hang with Nas at Jake’s Steaks. The food is great, the vibe is excellent, and he goes out of his way to take care of you.We accidentally ordered food to the wrong location. Usually a big headache, with a quick phone call to the other location he just solved it without a second thought. Instead of driving around the city, we had a beer and waited for our food. The cheesesteaks are on point with the right Amoroso roll. I only wish they were open late at night when the bars close! Thanks Nas!

Finally got a chance to experience Jake's steaks in person. Being originally from Philly and currently living in Atlanta, I heard about this place and had to try it. The secret to a good Philly cheese steak is the roll and they do have the right Amoroso rolls. The restaurant itself is smaller than I thought it would be but there is outside seating and I heard that during an Eagles game this is the place to be. My only gripe is that they don't have a lot of Temple University merchandise on the wall. You have to check this place out!
