Ilcha is a cool new Korean restaurant in the Marina! It definitely introduces a new vibe to the neighborhood. The hotpot smelled so good, and it was a bit spicy. Then they added the ramen with the cheese on top and I feel like that added a whole new flavor to the noodles I'm used to eating! The kimchi inside was so tasty and the veggies were so good. The friend chicken was probably my favorite! I'm a huge chicken lover, and it was so crispy and juicy! The sauces for them were also really good (a bit spicy too).Of course you can’t go wrong with a soju bomb! Had a blast.
Price quality ratio on point. Love a good nabe.
Korean comfort food. The bossam and fresh oysters were very tasty, and makgeolli was sweet and refreshing. The bulgogi hotpot was the signature dish. The soup is delicious, get a bowl of rice to go with it!
A wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the menu included excellent vegetarian options.
Love this place. Hope they put some salt or soy sauce in the broth. That's only what I wanted to advise them.
Kimchi + Kurobuta and Shabu Shabu broth
The duck soup was great! Especially the porridge at the end. Also loved the black sesame ice cream - rich and homey
It was good overall but meats was a little bit tough and chinese cabbage were not really fresh.
High quality ingredients, decor, and atmosphere make this a great dining location.
Shabu Shabu (beef) and Sukiyaki was good with a lot of vegetables and meat was very lean. Spicy miso is well seasoned as well as the seawead with water was good too. There was s shortage of staff. The restaurant was full and only two in front of the house waiters were serving, make drinks and taking orders, looked like only one person in the back of the house, cooking the appetizers and prepping the dishes for the Nabe and Sukiyaki. For sure they were short staffed. The restaurant becomes extremely loud when it is a full house and you need to speak quite loudly to understand each other. Corridor style restaurant with wooden floor and stone panel walls does not improve the sound quality in the room.Come early to find a seat as there is a limited number of individual tables. They open at 6;00pm and it fills up within 30 minutes, even during the weekdays.
