Sophia was the sweetest server ever!! Thank you Sophia and all your help!!
It has been over 3 years since we have been to San Francisco. Hyde Street Seafood did not disappoint. The staff, friendly as ever and the food delicious! We will be back.
The service was outstanding. The Cioppino was excellent. The prawns in the prawn cocktail were small and tasteless. The sea bass fish on parchment paper was dry and tasteless. The oysters we ordered were terrible. We should have ordered the Miyagi but our server recommended the slightly less expensive ones which were tiny and partially spoiled. Maybe because the ice was melted. Too bad because we enjoyed the ambiance, the service, the wine, and the cioppino.
Great Birthday Dinner Catch up
The food and service were outstanding. The happy hour specials were a pleasant surprise and I liked the menu variety. Good selection of reasonably priced wines combined with dishes like sea bass en pappiotte (fish, seasoning, and vegetables steamed in parchment) make this place a real find. Oysters as a starter were amazing. Will definitely return.
As always, the food is wonderful and the service gracious!
Great little neighborhood restaurant with decent food at reasonable prices. The 5-7 Happy Hour makes for a fun and enjoyable experience with reduced prices.
Always a must dine on any trip to San Francisco. Wonderful fresh food at reasonable prices
This was the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my entire 37 years of being on this earth. I ordered the crabcakes, and they literally tasted like cat food but worse. Yeah we also ordered the salmon, and the steak. All of the food was bland, disgusting, and had no taste. Although we only sent back one of the dishes all the food was disgusting, we just do not have the heart to send back all of the food. At the end of the night she brought the check and refused to credit us for any of the food that we sent back. She kept saying that everyone likes the food and she said we needed to get used to it. She refused to credit us and what’s worse was that she was sexist. When the gentleman who was eating with us came back to the table she halted her Conversation to us because she wanted to explain to him what happened. Like our opinions and thoughts didn’t matter. I have never had a worse restaurant experience in my life. Stay far away from here.
Neighborhood gem
