Excellent Chinese food for a reasonable price in the heart of San Francisco’s Chinatown. The owners are doing an excellent job running the restaurant. Have no doubt - this is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city.

I’m not sure if this place is a tourist trap or we didn’t know what to order. We had shrimp dumpling soup which was AMAZING, and chicken curry clay pot (below average, no salt and minimal flavor) and Mongolian beef which was terrible and left most of it, it was greasy, the beef cut was chewy and not edible. Super disappointed, I personally don’t recommend

This place was mostly locals, and was the first place we went upon arriving in San Francisco. It had a variety of options, including some for our vegetarians, and they were all great. They were able to seat our party of 8 with no wait.

THE BEST CHINESE FOOD!!!I don’t think I can say enough for Hong Kong Clay Pot! The wait is absolutely worth it! We went for dinner and waited on the steep stairs. If you have a hard time with stairs, this may be a place to have someone pick up and bring to you! It’s such a ‘whole in the wall” in the midst of China Town. As you go up the stairs you wait for someone to seat you. There are big round table and many little 4tops. We were sat on one side of a big round table with another family on the other side.We ordered spring rolls and potstickers for appetizers. We had sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, and a curry dish. These were spectacular! We ordered a Beef Noodle dish from seeing it on the wall and when it arrived it was NOT what was expected. So passed on eating it and ordered Chicken Fried rice. It came out quickly and was amazing! (Most of their chicken is all white meat!)They do not split bills, so if you are coming with a big group, bring cash or be ready to Venmo the paying friend.I have saved this place on my Google map and CAN’T wait to go back!

Great food. Great service.

MSG soups flavorless except for inedible fishy shrimp dumplings. Main course seafood was foul, pork nuggets mostly gristle. Fried rice tasted of old oil, contained pellets of desiccated “roast pork” well past expiration date.Servers flunked charm school, atmosphere from a time warp. If this is a top Chinatown restaurant, I shudder to imagine the rest.

Ordered via Uber eats after seeing high reviews here and photos of what looked like quite authentic dishes. Take out Experience was sub-par. We ordered the family meal which was shrimp fried rice, veggies, sweet and sour pork, hot/sour soup and spring rolls. Everything was OK. Pork was clearly prepped in advance in a vanilla-tasting batter that was more like what you would get on Lemon chicken, it was also overcoated, overfried and a bit soggy (but it’s delivery, okay fine). rice was fine but nothing special, portion was generous. Veggies were a surprise hit! Garlicky and perfectly cooked. But had some browning snow peas which should have been tossed not served to a customer. Hot and sour soup seemed a bit watered down and very runny— lots of broth, not as many fun surprises inside as normal. Spring rolls were typical. Search for good Chinese in SF continues…

The restaurant is upstairs, we were traveling with strollers, and it was a little inconvenient. But the food was good, and the honey shrimp with walnuts was great.

Excellent food. This is my go to place in Chinatown.I went on back-to-back nights for dinner and the second time I ordered the following with a clleague: Curry Chicken, Catfish in Soy Sauce, Mongolian Beef with Prawns, and Chicken Chowmein. All were excellent. This place gets very busy fir dinner, and there is limited seating space, so plan accordingly. But the servers and service is great. Will definitely revist.

very good, best vegetables and fried rice I've ever had
