The sushi is very fresh and best part, it gets served to you on a bullet train. The staff is extremely polite and very helpful to get you seated and served asap. I also recommend the matcha flan for dessert.
My friend and I were out in the city and wanted to experience sushi in a novel way so we decided to stop by Hikari solely due to the fact that they deliver the sushi on tiny trains. It was very cool to place your order on a screen and have it delivered by rail however I was a bit disappointed that the trains weren't more like actual trains or looked better. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very helpful however the seats left something to be desired. They were comfortable enough but had an incredible amount of sag as if one too many people had sat in them over the years. I will give this restaurant credit for its actual sushi, while not the best I've had it was a step above what I've come to expect from more conveyor belt style sushi restaurants.
Yellow spicy dragon roll and nigiri are bomb
Didn't have super high expectations coming through, but wanted to check if out because we do not have these around where I'm from. We were walking around on a lovely day and ended up here. We were there on a Saturday around 1pm. It wasn't super busy, but people were kind of trickling in once we were seated. Server was kind and explained how to order food on the screen. And if you needed additional service how to get their attention. We ordered a few different sashimi pieces/combo and nigiri. Wow. Each piece tasted wonderful. We didn't have a bad piece. We ordered exactly what we wanted and each piece got better. No fishy taste to the sushi whatsoever. We ordered salmon, bluefin tuna, sea urchin, scallops, and various sushi. We might have gone overboard, but we couldn't get enough! Would highly recommend checking this out if you're in the area! I hope your experience was as good as ours! We kind of enjoy just enjoying the food without having the hassle of someone coming to check on us from time to time. It was a little noisy in there, but that didn't bother us.
A bit pricy. But the bullet train is a good concept for kid and family dining. The restroom's cleanness is acceptable but need improvement. Dont do outdoor dinning for this restaurant, u will miss the bullet train and the whole special bullet dining experience become worthless.
Fun experience with sushi on train. My kids love it. Quick service and people are nice. Price is ok but you need to wait when near meal time
This restaurant is so convenient. Just order off the screen. Food is good as well.
Overall good quality but don't come expecting to be blown out of the waters. The bullet delivery is fast and convenient. The staffs are also very attentive and friendly!
Food was really good. The food you order from the touchscreen tablet comes straight to your table on a little train. I was mistaken thinking it was an all you can eat continuous conveyor type sushi place, which it is not, but the food was great none the less.
The food is just fine. You can get better Japanese food for less money in other parts of Japantown. The bullet trains are the only thing special here. The onion rings are tasty but my order came with a pale looking one thrown in (pictured). The portions are pretty small so you can have a lot of variety in your meal. The bento box I ordered came with the fork placed right in the food (pictured). I feel like they should've asked if I wanted a fork or chopsticks instead of giving me both. Also, the iced tea is in sealed cups and they give you paper straws which bend pretty easily; if you struggle with breaking through the film, use a chopstick to poke a hole through.
