Harvey's acts as my anchor every time I visit San Francisco. I've met so many great people here and enjoyed their food every time. Such a great place with plenty of history.
Service was the best part. Breakfast items were the type you get in an old diner in bankruptcy, I went safe for my burger, it had flavor and it was greasy enough, do not order their chicken platter, it looked and tasted bland from all angles. Servers were super nice and friendly!
This was our first stop on our bar-hopping afternoon. It's a fun corner restaurant-bar at the heart of Castro. Staff is super friendly, and somehow their mimosas were strong and yummy, or maybe I was just very thirsty? We had a great time there anyway! Oh and their buffalo chicken salad was to die for!
This restaurant outperformed my expectations for food and beverage, partly because I kept the meal simple (burger with salad instead of fries) and ordered my current favorite drink, a Ketel One and Coke. The waiter was having a flaky evening, so I reminded him [gently] of a number of our items. I will not hesitate to return for a low key date!
I cant say nicer things about the bar tender/manager Douglas. He was very attentive! We were first time visitors and he gave us the scoop on where to go and what things were happening in town. VERY thankful for douglas!! Also, the history of this place brought us here but the atmosphere and great staff will bring us back <3
Go for the BEST people watching in the Castro and the history of the place. The average food is almost incidental. Was incredibly noisy at night, but excellent service
This place has a nice ambience. Great to grab a bite and chat with friends. The service was friendly. The food was nothing special but good portions.
Came here, really to use the loo, and asked for an orange juice. Very rude barman, mousetrap hair, proceeded to ask me for:- Proof of vaccination Proof of id, I’m 53. Orange juice? There is no current city requirement for this, however I duly complied. Well after a wait…. When I explained I really only wanted to use the restrooms rude barmen decided to loudly say well I would have let you if you had but asked. Idiot. I retorted that it would be rude to just use the toilet without buying a drink in England. Used toilet, left orange juice and. A one dollar tip (if I’d had a penny on me I would have left that) and left. Apparently it’s under new management, great start!!!!
Douglas and Erik, thank you very much for the hospitality. This is a great place to join a nice drink with great friend. Thanks Douglas, if it wasn’t for you I will forget my jacket!
Going beyond the norm, the staff at Harvey’s is fun, accommodating, and personable. The food is delicious and the cocktails are outstanding! Don’t miss out on going to Harvey’s. ❤️
