I edited this down to three stars because I just ordered a coffee for a friend and I bought some other food products. Meanwhile the woman before me ordered an iced machiatto but he handed her a hot machiatto. Then he made her the correct one (iced ) and she left. However, he then charged ME for his mistake; he charged me for the hot machiatto and for the coffee for my friend. I asked for the receipt because it added up to more than I thought. He hesitated and gave me my receipt. I saw the charge for the hot machiatto that was his mistake! I'm taking a photo of it. He didn't think I would look at the receipt. That was the owner/manager.I see him act condescending & haughty to people who are homeless and buying food there. I also noticed the pineapple that was in the refrigerated section was brown and old. However at one time this place was excellent. They had fresh & organic food and drink. My fav was their home-made soup. They specialized in delicious take home items, as there was a refrigerated section and a relatively large deli section with beautiful lunches/dinners to go or eat there, (there's a few dining areas.) The rest of the market had hi- quality products and also a nice variety of wine & beer. The barista Rosa is still very sweet and friendly. She still serves good coffee early in the morning (up to 6pm or so) with other baked items. They had a salad bar which is now replaced with donuts. All in all, it's expensive and the manager needs better customer service skills. The quality isn't as good as it used to be. Good for coffee though.
They have a lot of specialty things. It's kinda pricey, but often times convenient.
? burgers and ? are good . i got my cloths ??? tooken one ? morning outside this place . but I still come back for the burgers ! real man size big boy burgers .
This place is my go-to when I am at or leaving work. The sandwiches are great and they have a large selection of chips, breakfast, hot food, drinks. It's basically a great market.
TL;DR: not horrible but definitely not good. Expect to be way overcharged and receive poor customer service for this store's "convenience".I have been going here ~once a week for the past couple years due to its convenience to my home, but honestly I kind of regret it every time due to:- extremely overpriced (in my experience, you should expect to pay 2-3x compared to a normal store such as Safeway, especially basics such as fruits/veggies)- along the same lines, food is often mislabeled or not labelled at all so you really won't know how much you're spending. Plus I have been overcharged a number of times - even things as brazen (or dumb?) as bananas being rung up as avocados (and thus me being way overcharged).- it's usually really messy/dirty. I went earlier to grab some bananas and when I picked up a bunch of bananas, a million flies flew out from them (YUCK)- the staff generally seems kind of grumpy and unwelcomingOn the bright side, there's a relatively good selection for this size of store. And as mentioned before, it's relatively "convenient" (but only due to the fact that there aren't many options around here). If I were you, I'd go to The Market on Market St a couple blocks away - it's also super expensive, but at least it's cleaner, has better (and fresher) food options, and the staff are more welcoming.
Pricey, but impressive selections. A large selection of specialty sodas and drinks from all over the world. A deli bar with enchiladas and pasta and cakes and deserts. Fresh fruits and veggies. Recently added a coffee bar. Delicious coffee, and open until late in the evening!
Definitely overpriced but very nice staff, comfortable environment, great location and clean store. Wide selection of items available, however, could use better sign postage for the location of goods. Would make some things easier to find but because it's such a friendly environment I don't mind wondering around.

Bought a white coconut cake tonight for my grandmother's birthday, bought it at 6:42pm served it around 8:15 pm cake was beyond stale whip cream frosting was rock hard and cake was inedible. There was 5;people served at dinner and still over 3/4 cake left. It was just simply gross. This place should be ashamed of themselves for selling this disaster, and hope they are embarrassed for their failure to sell fresh food. The cake cost $12.59 and I hope they are at least professional enough to offer a cash refund as I doubt I will return last week a moldy pie now this. How can I contact a food inspector to have this place checked out.
They accept ebt. They have stocked up an array of different drinks. Including some with strange bitter tastes.
