Hanabi Cakes’ packaging reminds me of Tiffany's - guess they're the Tiffany's of cakes!As part of a giveaway, I picked up a beautiful 6-inch strawberry mascarpone layer mousse cake from Uji Time in the SF Metreon, although Hanabi Cakes can be preordered and picked up at ZERO& boba stores, and in other locations in East and South Bay as well - including Stanford Shopping Center.The cake is so soft, smooth, and decadent - honestly the perfect balance of sweetness and a fantastic dessert after any meal!
Cute cakes. Thought they had a store in Metreon, apparently it's just for pickup spot.We got some crepe cakes from them, and a mango coconut cake.The tiramisu crepe is the best out of the three.Will definitely come back to check out their other cakes.
OMG what I won these in a giveaway and I think it marks the beginning of an addiction. I tried the lychee rose, matcha and black sesame. The black sesame was sooooooo gooodddd …maybe best cake I’ve ever had? I’ve eaten a lot of cake so rly have to concede but I do? such a good balance and the tofu is a perfect surprising complement to get it? also did I mention they’re all beautiful??? Ordered a few cakes from Hanabi. They are very good. We ordered Ube, cookies and cream and mango. The pick up place in Newark is a little hard to find since it’s in a random store. But I would recommend these cakes and get them as goodies for friends and family. I’ll be back!
This galaxy cake is so pretty!! Also the service was 10/10!I ordered the cake on 7/11 which were 2 days before the actual pick up date and the website was showing the earliest pick up date was 7/14. But my friend’s birthday was on 7/13 so I called them if I can picked up the cake a day early. After few minutes wait, they called me back and told me that I was able pick up it earlier with the same pick up time&loation! I was so happy. Also, this cake is so tasty. Definitely will come back for other desserts.

Hanabi cakes have the best cakes! My family and I tried 7 of their cakes and we enjoyed them all! My favorite would be their honeycomb caramel mini box cake since I'm a huge fan of the crispy honeycomb topping. Texturally, it pairs very well with the soft cake. Flavor wise, the cakes are fragrant and not too sweet which my parents loved. Overall, the cakes don't skimp on quality and are also very aesthetic to look at!
So delicious and beautiful!!! The cakes boxes are certainly mini- a bit smaller than my iPhone 12 mini. The cake is so light and fluffy. And the whipped cream is very delicate and not too sweet. These cakes taste exactly like the ones in Japan. Each little box is a work of art!
