Yummy donuts, super fluffy
1st time coming here, ordered a Herrentorte, Kirchetorte, and an apple turnover. Everything was lovely and delicious, will be back soon and often.
The owner actually lived in GERMANY and is super friendly and welcoming. I love the Berliners here, best donuts in town. all their Pastries are very authentic and taste just like back in the fatherland.

Get there earlier in the day if you want the popular items. Was there Saturday afternoon 2:30pm, half the menu is out, I got the cinnamon croissant - SO GOOD. The Black Forrest cake is also sublime.
Get a slice of the beesting cake. I’ve never tried this cake before, but this was just delightful. Not too sweet, perfect cake texture and the almond topping paired perfectly.And do not skip the pretzel croissant! The lamination is done well, the butter flavor really shines through and the pretzel wash they brush the croissant with adds a really nice punch of pretzel flavor.Berliner doughnut was so soft and light, tried both custard filled and strawberry jam filled. High marks to both, but the strawberry is perfectly tart and is my favorite.

I just walked by the bakery window in Hayes Valley, hadn't noticed this place before. I'm not particularly familiar with German pastry, but I bought one of their Berliners (basically a jelly donut) and I must say it was exceptional. Particularly for me, the filling stood out. I got apricot/peach and was pleasantly surprised that it was on the tart side, letting the natural flavors shine. I'm definitely going back to try the cakes!
Amazing donuts. Also got a pretzel and it was Delicious. Really wanted to try their pretzel croissant but it was sold out
