Gordo's is hard to beat when it comes to wanting a fresh and beefy burrito. An exceptional value. The ingredients are extremely fresh and plentiful. The staff is extremely efficient and even in busy peak hours the que moves along briskly.
Family of four tourists, we stopped in here randomly after renting Segways and touring Golden Gate Park. Delicious. Flavorful, plentiful. Perfect mid-day pick-me-up, followed by an ice cream next door. Then jumped on the 38 bus to Land's End, refreshed and happy.
Quality of product was going down each time for the past year. My last burrito was that bad so I have to put in the garbage. Just stay a way from this place it's not worse to pay for food you will not enjoy.
What is a super burrito? Most people would say a burrito with meat or veggies, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. Not this place! Extra charges for each item drove up prices of each burrito that I thought I was paying for 3 of my party’s burritos when I only paid for 2. Ridiculous! Will not be coming back. There are countless better options for Mexican food in SF. You do not need to lower yourself to $14 mediocre burritos that you thought were $9.
Always delicious. They have an app that sometimes will have coupons and makes ordering ahead super convenient and easy. Everyone is always very nice!
Chile verde taco!!! Request it with rice on top!! Very tasty!!! Highly recommended.
I was craving authentic Mexican food, so stopped by Gordo’s; and frankly, I was not disappointed! Food was so yummy every bite gave me vibes of walking on Cancun’s streets. A little pricey though hence 4 stars. Make sure you get side of chips & hot salsa with your burrito. Some paid parking available in front of the store. Lots of seats available inside.
Just don't waste your money. I hate to give one star as the place was clean, the staff was fast and friendly. The food awful. No flavor, and I'm not exaggerating. It was the blandest food I've ever eaten. I had a (grilled but didn't really appear like it) chicken burrito with rice, beans, cheese and mild salsa (seemed like just messy tomatoes) I might as well had been eating cardboard. No salt, no cumin, no cilantro, nothing that gives off a mexican food smell or flavor. How can this be? I added both a green salsa and a red one...that just added heat. Still nothing substantial to help make my burrito palatable. Sprinkling a little salt didn't make it much better either. The salad we ordered was the same...bland.I was surprised how many customers had come in during the time I was there. They can't possibly know good Mexican food if they are repeat customers. I definitely would not go back.
This taqueria does tacos and burritos in an awesome, delicious and efficient way. However the restaurant on Geary St. In SF feels very cold, as if you walked into a walk-in freezer. The manager should watch some of Mr. Tempo's videos online and adjust the temperature for the comfort of the customers and not staff.
Smaller Burrito in town
