Quality product with average service. Ice cream and chocolate is signature Ghirardelli quality. Mint chocolate chip ice cream is awesome. Service was slow and unhelpful. Server indicated they would provide a specific side item but completely ignored.
Love this neighborhood gem, very retro. I can find all of my childhood candies here, plus ice cream floats! I wish they had more seating inside. In the summer, it's find because we can sit outside but in colder weather, it'd be nice to have seating. I always stop by here when I'm nearby. LOVE the homemade chocolate counter, can't get enough.
Service is amazing. Instantly got a free shake when we walked in and candy. Ice cream was really good and fills you up for the price.
I had a hot fudge sundae with whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry! It was so delicious that I went back the next day for a hot caramel sundae.
This is definitely a chocolate lover’s paradise! I was hopeful that the ice cream would be much better, but I thought it was good not great. Don’t get me wrong I definitely finished it but have had much better for much better price. We had to try it out for the experience though.
If you visit SF, you should have some Ghirardelli chocolate and/or ice cream. Even though it is way over priced for what you get, I guess one is paying for some of the experience. We went to the store on Market on an early Sunday afternoon and it was not busy. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and funny.

Incredible icecream sundaes and chocolate. The plaza is well worth a visit set just a short walk from fisherman’s wharf. There’s lots of cute shops and restaurants here. The chocolatier is very delicious and gets busy with tourists.
We stopped in to see what was offered and ended up having a cup of drinking chocolate which was very good—good strong chocolate flavor. That went well with the ice cream which was good as well. We also grabbed a selection of Ghirardelli chocolates by selecting what we wanted and then paying by the pound.
