This was 3 years ago :- I first went to this establishment over 50 years ago when it was named Vince's. While it appears that the owner's have changed hands, it has not changed much from my childhood. They still have the super thin crust pizza that I love and the jukebox at each table as way back when. While I have moved away from the city, I always try to go when I am in the area!I recently had a pie delivered to my hotel but was slightly disappointed. No longer was the crust thin and had turned into a rather normal pizza and have deducted 2 stars. Guess things change over time and have yet one less place to visit in S.F.

We had the regular crust pizza and it was delicious, as well as the other dishes. There were no left overs. A longtime establishment, with old school juke boxes at each table.

Calamari was a little undercooked in the middle of the platter. Otherwise it tasted great.

Lasagna is hands down the BEST. And they should really bottle and sell the Cesar dressing - I'd buy it in jars.

This is a great place for some authentic Italian food. The decor inside the cafe is very unique and beautiful. The food was amazing and the service was great. They were very friendly. We tried the Italiana pizza which is pesto pizza, the crust was soft and the toppings were perfect.Gaspare’s special was good too. It has marinara sauce. We also tried gnocchi, with Alfredo sauce. You get an option of choosing the sauce. Gnocchi was ok.They also serve wine by the carafe. The rose was great.

Great pizza and starters. Had the baby clams and combo pizzas with a calamari as an appetizer. Everything was tasty and the texture was on point. Their pizza appears to have been improved from years ago as they were a lot less greasy now.

Nice quaint little place. Eye catching sign outside drew in the WolfPack Adventures crew after a long rainy day of city shenanigans. Friendly staff, charming decor. The staff definitely not used to the characteristics of the adventure crew.

I grew up going to vinces pizza so I haven’t been here until tonight this the worst burnt veal (whatever ? Vince is rolling over in his grace (god bless him) I’m gonna see if the Bruce’s special still the same ??

I've walked past this place many times. Today, I decided to finally enter and try the food.I was met with a retro diner looking restaurant, with booths, a gumball machine, and music machine things. It was dimly lit. A man gave me a menu, bread, butter, a plate, and flatware. I got the spaghetti al pesto, iced tea for my drink, and spumone for dessert. The pasta came out quick and was warm. The pesto was really good. It was creamy, flavorful, and was really smooth and emulsified. It was an ample portion of spaghetti. I wasn't super hungry and couldn't finish it so I got a to-go box. I struggled for a bit with it and googled how to eat pasta in an Italian restaurant. Excluding pizzerias, this was the first proper Italian restaurant I've ever been in. Turns out, you put the spaghetti on your plate and use the spoon to cover it with sauce, then eat it with the fork alone. The bread is used to soak up leftover sauce.Speaking of the bread, it wasn't super fresh. Bread is usually baked in the morning though so that's fine. I would've preferred softened butter instead of hard butter. The iced tea was just fine. It's what you'd expect in a diner or restaurant or some other place that doesn't focus on tea. The spumone was very creamy and a satisfying end to a good meal. I didn't know spumone existed before today so it was the best spumone I've ever had.My total came out to be around $26 and just under $31 with the tip. I'll probably come again to try more Italian food.

La pizza excelente y la atención super cordial y atenta, don Jorge excelente servicio.
