Amazing place. Staff are phenomenal and the selection of cuts is impressive. Highly recommend.
I really do like this place I go all the time but I have to make sure I wear gloves because when they pick the meat with their bare hands or gloves they also take your card swipe it and give you back your card with all the meat juice from different meats all over your card and all over the bags ...so you need to sanitize your card sanitize your hands so you don't get any salmonella or whatever comes from raw meat

Fantastic fresh healthy local live Dungeness crab that turned out delicious and made our Christmas Eve dinner so special.The store is clean, orderly, well stocked and well staffed. Thank you to the team at FMSM for the great service, picking out two big happy crabs, packing up with ice for the drive back to Berkeley (yes, we drove in for the crab and made a fun sunny day of it in The Mission).All this at fair prices with lots of smiles.I highly recommend this local gem of a place for picky people.
I buy my whole roast filet mignon here regularly and it is excellent quality & a super good deal. I have also purchased lamb chops which were very good. They have a wide variety of meats & seafood at good prices.
Amazingly helpful staff!! Fresh selection and clean space too. I live in Noe valley and I’ll be coming here for my seafood and meats from now on.. price was also really fair!!!!
