I love this place. It's exactly what you would imagine for a local authentic neighborhood favorite sandwich shop. And you know it's food when the fire and police department both show up at the same time for lunch.
One of the best fresh sandwiches I've ever had by far! Sandwiches made fresh to order and such a big menu! We knew it must be good when a fire truck pulled outside to order food. Highly recommend the sourdough with chicken salad. Huge portion
Barely any meat in the sandwich. Every bite is 90% bread. It use to be at least triple the amount of meat. Not sure what's going on... not a good way to cut cost. Sandwich seems to have gone up in price as well.
I ordered an Italian combo and both myself and my kids really liked it. Sandwich had a little bit of everything. Salami, mortadella, ham, chopped ham, mozzarella.I rarely go to SF these days but when I visited in the past I never found the time to buy a sandwich from Freddie's. Finally got a chance and I'm glad I did.
Good filled subs. We took out a few subs to go picnic in the park. Would recommend.

Absolutely delicious! Had the turkey pastrami on sourdough. The macaroni salad looked super good as well but we didn't get it. Definitely going back for more sandwiches and to try more things there!
Great quality sammies. Had a pastrami on rye with the works except mayo. Also had a tuna fish with the works except mustard. Stopped on the way to the Giants game.
The Hot Coppa is amazing. One of the best sandwiches in the city!
