We have eaten here on our anniversary for years. Not just a tradition, this is a great place and romantic without being pretentious. Reserve for 5 pm when they open and get there a few minutes early if you want a window seat! But that doesn't really matter. We love this place.
Pasta was amazing, apetizers 8/10. Service and place itself was excellent!
Food is always excellent and the service is wonderful, attentive without hovering. The owner John and his wife make you feel your an invited guest at their home.

Frascati is fabulous! The Baders are lovely people, the wait staff is exceptional and the food is perfectly made and well presented. We eat here every time we are in San Francisco.
We liked the location and the overall ambiance. We also liked our waiter. The bread the the tomatoes that were served were delicious. My mom had the fettuccine bolognese which were good however there was too much sauce. I had the flat iron steak with the polenta. I would have liked it if the food had been hotter. It arrived tepid and the polenta was lumpy. I was expecting the meat to have a grilled look instead it was soft with too much oil on the dish. The asparagus soup we both had was good and hot considering we asked for it to be extra hot when served.
First time at Frascati and wow. What a restaurant. Food was amazing. Rebecca and John (owners) are so pleasant and accommodating. Donât miss this awesome Russian hill eatery!!
