Fisherman’s Wharf Chowders is a good place and lots of crab restaurant. I have been a famous crab restaurant name is Alioto crab. It is a window view of there.
Everytime I come here it's great. Convenient location, cold beer, fire pits, Anchor Steam. And of course chowder. Clam is great, crab is amazing.

I receive nothing but a half cup of crab chowder and a hard sourdough bowl that I could have gotten from the supermarket next to my house, I was extremely disappointed in their chowder which has changed extremely from the last time that I went to San Francisco (6 years) so much that my five-year-old daughter told me that my chowder is way better than theirs and she does not want to eat it and picked it up and threw it in the garbage.? there went $15 for a half cup of chowder.
Not a big fan of sourdough but the soup was good. Had plenty of shrimp and sea food flavor in it. They grabbed our beverages for us. We sat outside as there was no dine in service.
Pretty good Fresh clam chowder. Busy area. Lot of tourists and people everywhere.l Little pricey for Clam chowder but its a tourist attraction so makes sense. Love this food.
