By the grace of God we've been able traveled to travel in country and out and we've never stayed in such a venue of elegance. Kelsey(hotel registers) and Will and Jaun(welcoming team)were very nice and easy to talk to. As was the concieaur. It was a great birthday experience for my beautiful bride. I believe that this type of hotel should be done at least one time in your life, I can on and on about this fabulous hotel. Treat yourself or your family! It's 1st class so treat yourself or your....it's just what the doctor ordered!

I booked a suite at this hotel, and I regret it. The view was nice, but The service was the worst I’ve seen in any hotel. Some front desk staff behaves as if they are doing you a favor. If you are thinking of booking a suite at this hotel, don’t do it. The rooms are large, but the service is horrible. The TV in my bedroom did not have chrome cast on it even though it said it did. The mini bar was NOT stocked and smelled of mold. The fridge doesn’t work as it should, and the room lacks basic supplies like water. Nothing complimentary comes with the room, and it took the staff over 3 hours to get me a bottle of water. It’s as if they size you up before they give you service. I booked an expensive room, yet they looked at me and deemed me unworthy. It almost seemed like I suffered because I’m a person of color.Nonetheless, the cleaning, engineering, and restaurant staff were very friendly.Pro tip: the Tonga bar has long lines, so be prepared to have a wait time. The WiFi is not free, but you get it free if you are a registered member (registration is free).

The property is beautiful. We had fantastic views of the city and enjoyed some craft cocktails in the Tonga Room. Everything felt luxurious and the staff went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. Cannot wait to return.

Gorgeous, fabulous location, and so much history here. But it should be said that the current staff members, too, make the Fairmont shine. I was constantly impressed by them. We stayed in the historic building. The balcony in the Kashmir Suite is enormous with sweeping views, and the room itself was very quiet - we never heard any noise from neighboring rooms. We enjoyed breakfast in Laurel Court, but the room service breakfast was equally delicious. The Tonga Room is a must-do. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful views and perfect location!

Great experience, rooms are beautiful, bar / restaurant nice too !

For $400+ a night, this ‘5 star’ hotel has less amenities than a budget airport hotel. Our room had no water bottles, an empty mini bar & empty snack bar, and we were unable to access the gym/sauna/spa since it is third party and requires additional payment. The in-room TV looked like a hand-me-down from a foreclosed Motel 6. We were told there was not even a business center where we could get some work done. We came out for a weekend to enjoy the hotel and its amenities, not just have a bed to sleep in. After letting the front desk know about our disappointment, they got us access to the gym and offered a dining credit.I would not recommend the Fairmont. Save your money. The palace hotel had much better amenities, and it’s actually a 5 star hotel with amenities as advertised. The food was actually decent for breakfast and dinner. Tonga room is alright, pricy drinks. The valet were great too. The room had a nice view as well.

Gorgeous hotel! We were so blessed to stay here over the holidays. The decor was so beautiful. We had a tower room on the 23rd floor and the views were beyond amazing. The breakfast from the restaurant was also quite tasty. Big 5 stars from me. I really enjoyed staying here and would do so again next time I'm in SF.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a place. They compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is the best rated in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't be disappointed.Lovely hotel with beautiful architecture, adorable gingerbread house, and huge Christmas tree! Totally worth checking out. If you get a room, they are very nice. I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is beautiful, I love the architecture and the Christmas decoration as well.Although we didn’t stay here, we came to see the gingerbread house. The gingerbread house is well done and really attractive for the kids.I’m putting 4 stars because is actually no a house, it’s just the display of a house where you can walk “through “ and is like 2 mins walk thing where you can take nice photos. What you see in my photos is only that, there is no more !But very nice for getting the kids out during cold weather and do something different.
