Incredible experience with amazing food. Service can be improved a bit but was friendly.
The food quality on this month's menu is awful. Only the cod and lobster dishes are good. The remaining dishes uses very cheap ingredients and are far from anything special or noteworth. I was left horribly disappointed . When I dined there in January and February, the menu surprised me and made me want to go eat again and again. With my return this time, I found it to be nothing but a waste of time and money. I probably will not go again for a long, long time or at the very least, check the menu before I go.
Fabulous food and service in a fantastic spot on the 6th floor of a building in the heart of Chinatown, offering superb views of Coit Tower. Everything was spot on and was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended.

Lovely place with very good to excellent fixed menu. My drink was also yummy and perfect for the artistic place that Empress evokes. Would totally dine again when in SF. I’d prefer a regular menu in the future - that’s why I gave 4 stars, but I knew the deal going in and liked all the choices. I just want more!
