They staff was friendly but the food was American Chinese. These dishes we had were ordinary and average. Nothing special. They did not have the flavors of authentic Chinese dishes we had in other area places.
I am not a big fan of Chinese food but I really liked this restaurant. When I called to order, I had several questions and the woman that answered the phone thoroughly explained the entrees that we had questions about so there were no surprises. They use high end ingredients and the flavors were great!
Upscale Chinese food in a pleasant modern restaurant. We had restaurant-made egg rolls, fried calamari, walnut prawns (WOW!!!), Kung Pao fried tofu, and string beans. Everything was tasty, with a friendly and highly attentive staff. The owner came to ask us how everything was. Don't miss this one!
High priced for what you get... everything lacked flavor and the only flavor that came through over barringly was onions. Even in the hot and sour soup which I didn't expect. $13 for a few crab wontons that only tasted like onions. $75 meal for two, that left me disappointed. And had to eat outside because we didn't have a vaccination card. The service was nice though. The young Asian waitress was so kind and full of good recommendations. Great food, and amazing people. They were so helpful finding gluten free options for my girlfriend and have a whole menu for that. Huge portions and a fun spot to walk around
Owners wife & husband Christina & Gary Tan opened in 1998 and it’s been a wonderful neighborhood place since. All their wrappers for the wontons, pot stickers, buns for duck, pancakes for mu shu are all hand-made in house! Lots of new items like curry beef puffs made with prized wagyu from Fossil Creek Ranch in San Luis Obispol. Love.
