Really fantastic food!!! My parents took me for lunch last week. The food is the bomb and the manager /owner is very friendly. My parents go there 3 or 4 times a week, it's that good!!

The food is just okay but the ambience/service sucks. It’s like a food court - you order your food, grab your own cutlery, water and find a table. Which is relatively easy since the place is usually empty.

The worst service during LGBTQ parade on 24th June. I called the restaurant to order food, the operator refused to take my order and being very rude, saying we don’t have time to take your order. I was shock to hear that and decided to never ever order from this restaurant. Who don’t care about clients, I highly doubt they care about hygiene. Plus the restaurant don’t cook good food and they are way far from cooking real Indian food, and they can’t even cook Indian food because the chefs are not from India.

Ordered Malai Kofta and Saffron Rice for lunch.Rice was great, curry was delicious.Unfortunately, the actual koftas themselves were very underwhelming.Felt like they were previously frozen, came from a factory, or were just poorly made.I had half a mind to just not eat it at the moment, take it home, and swap out the koftas for anything else.I want Diya to succeed, and otherwise the food is good, but please make better koftas!

Good food and service , very tasty .

Really terrible experience, don’t know how this establishment got 4 stars. You have to order at the counter (my order was messed up and took very long to be served) and grab your cutlery before you find a table. The atmosphere is like a really poor train station. The food was not as bad as t he ambience so in total it’s two stars for me - wouldn’t go there again, but sincerely hope they improve.

Looking for delicious food in SF we found DIYA Indian and Nepalese cuisine. The food was delicious ! We ordered malai kofta, garlic nan and masala fish , the season and spiced was just perfect. The prices very affordable and the service is good!

There’s nothing fancy about the decor and it actually looks run down. I chanced upon it because I was craving Indian food and the restaurants nearby were shut. I am so glad they were. I tried the lamb biryani and was blow away! I don’t know if people dine in, because I was literally the only person there, but the kitchen seemed busy. Give this place a shot. If their biryani is anything to go by, I’d definitely not miss it. Almost as good as the biryani in Delhi and definitely some of the best biryani I’ve had in the US. Can’t get over how good it was ! What a find!

Food was amazing and very reasonably priced. It's located in a very central part of town. Easy to access by train.
